Options

Type /pouf for options, or browse to the oUF Phanx panel in the standard Interface Options window.
IMPORTANT: If you want to change something that doesn’t have an in-game option to change, you will need to modify the layout’s Lua code yourself. If you need help modifying the code, post in the oUF forum, not here. This page is for support of the official version only.
Bug Reports

To report an error or other problem, please submit a bug report ticket.

Please don't use comments to report bugs, as comments cannot be bookmarked, searched, sorted, etc. and things posted there tend to get lost quickly or overlooked entirely.
IMPORTANT: If you are using a copy of oUF_Phanx with modifications of any kind, do not report bugs here. Reproduce the problem with an unmodified copy first, or post in the oUF forum for help with your modifications.
Feature Requests

Please note that this layout is written primarily to fill my own needs as a PvE enhancement shaman, and I'm not interested in adding any major features I wouldn't use myself. If you'd like to suggest a minor change to improve the layout for your class, or request support for a plugin, feel free to submit a suggestion describing your idea.

Raid frames will not be added. Use Grid or another raid frame addon of your choice.

Absorb amount bars are not planned at this time. If you think you have a good reason why I should change my mind, and it isn't PvP- or priest-specific, post a comment.

Aura Filter Notes

The predefined filters are based on the following criteria. If you think something should be changed in the predefined filter list for your class, please make sure it meets these criteria before requesting it.

Debuffs must be:
  • actively applied (feral druids don’t see Infected Wounds)
  • and not channeled (warlocks don’t see Drain Life),
  • or applied by someone else, and affects what you apply (rogues do see Curse of the Elements).
Buffs must be:
  • actively applied (resto shamans don’t see Earthliving)
  • with a short duration (priests don’t see Power Word: Fortitude)
  • or directly affecting your combat choices (Clearcasting, Bloodlust, etc).

Language Support

Compatible with English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português, Русский, 한국어, 简体中文, and 繁體中文 game clients.

Translated into English, Deutsch (partial), Español, Français, Português, and 简体中文.

To add or update translations for any locale, enter them on the CurseForge project page and then send me a PM here (or on CurseForge) to let me know that you’ve made changes. The PM is important -- Curse doesn't notify me when new translations are added, so if you don't notify me either, I may not notice your translations for weeks, months, or ever!

If it's distorted when you open the PNG, then the converter you used didn't convert correctly. Try one of the more recent ones. I'm currently using BLPNGConverter and haven't had any issues with it; I was previously using BLP2PNG but about 20% of the time it would fail to convert specific files at all.

There isn't a PSD. You need to put the BLP through a converter first to convert it to a format Photoshop can actually read, such as PNG or TGA.

Phanx, sorry to bother you. I'm trying to design some textures for kgpanels to match the design aesthetic of your bars here. I tried to use the SimpleSquare.blp in Photoshop but it distorts badly. I'm not so hot at Photoshop but have trying to learn in my spare time. Would it be possible for you to post the PSD for the SimpleSquare.blp?

I really love your action bars, all your AddOns actually.

You can add additional auras using the in-game options panel. If you use the panel to add an aura that's defined by default, you can change its filtering behavior, including setting it to never show.

Can you be more specific about when you are seeing those auras? What are you targeting? What kind of group are you in? What kind of zone are you in?

If you are attacking a mob in the world, and players outside of your group apply debuffs to it, you will see those debuffs, since there is no way to distinguish between auras applied by non-group players, and auras applied by the mob itself (unfortunately Blizzard does not always flag the mob as the caster) or by encounter mechanics. Short of hardcoding a list of debuffs players can apply (and ignoring them) or a list of debuffs that mobs or mechanics can apply (and ignoring everything else) there's nothing I can do about this. Your debuffs should be displayed first, though, and the other debuffs are shown in black and white, so it should be pretty easy to distinguish between them, and it shouldn't affect your ability to track your own debuffs.

Debuff Filtering

This may sound silly, but there isnt any options to the default debuff filtering is there? I mean, its enabled by default? Running a shaman I seem to see alot more debuffs than I would think are relevant, and alot more than what I see in the aura lua files. Lvl 87 shaman, and while I do not see all debuffs, I do see things like Immolate, curse of doom, serpent sting, frost fever, blood plague and more.

I'll send you a screenshot as soon as I can. I will need to back up my existing settings, then invite people to a party, etc. It will have to wait until I am not working, sleeping, or enjoying the good weather (finally!!).

BTW, where are the locations and sizes of the frames saved in SV files? I checked oUF_Phanx and oUF_MovableFrames (both character specific and general) and couldn't see them. I mean I have the files, but opening them doesn't seem to have location, height, width, or scale data.

That is intended, as those frame sets will never be displayed at the same time during actual gameplay (there are no bosses in arenas, and no arena opponents in places with bosses) and are meant to occupy the same place on the screen. If oUF_MovableFrames doesn't handle that gracefully, I'd have to call that an issue in the plugin, not in the layout.

That's odd, as I also play at 1920 x 1080. I have UI scaling disabled, though. Can you post a screenshot? The 4th party member should line up horizontally with the player and target frames, and the 1st party member should be below the 5th arena/boss frame with space in between roughly equivalent to another frame.

I installed this last night finally, cleaned up my UI, etc, etc, and I like it! Just two things to note when installed for the first time....

The Arena and Boss frames, along with their pets, overlap each other in a jumbled mess. When using oUF_MovableFrames, it was extremely difficult to separate the frames, and I ended up accidentally resizing one or two in a set. There is a drag button in the bottom right of each frame to resize, but I could not get one Boss, one Arena, and one Arena Pet frame to look exactly like the others. Is it possible to have some breathing room between the Boss and Arena frames in their default install locations?

The other thing is the Party frames' default locations. They were almost off the bottom of my screen when first installed. Thankfully not totally off, but wow!

I am using 1920 x 1080 at about 80% UI scale if that matters. I can also link a picture if you wish. Other than that, I like my new UI!

Feel free to come up with a good revised version that works for all frames without getting into "I need a microscope to read this" territory, and I'll just update the release addon with it. Feel free to experiment with different positions if you want.
I thought 12px was actually fine for the pet frame.

Maybe just disable combat feedback for frames where width < 0.75 of normal?

Not sure if the following can be considered a bug or not.

When playing a hunter and using mend pet in combination with ouf_combatfeedback, the healing text overlaps the HP percentage.

I fixed this by using min/max in combination with uconfig.width (line 790ish in Frames.lua).

lua Code:
  1. if IsAddOnLoaded("oUF_CombatFeedback") and not strmatch(unit, ".target$") then
  2.     self.CombatFeedbackText = ns.CreateFontString(self.overlay, 24 * (uconfig.width and min(1, max(uconfig.width, .5)) or 1), "CENTER")
  3.     self.CombatFeedbackText:SetPoint("CENTER", 0, 1)
  4. end
The text sometimes still overlaps from time to time, but this way it's a bit smaller.
