LUI v2.0 Patch 3.3 Ready! WoW User Interface by Louí <In Fidem> - EU RP-PVP Das Syndikat
After the overwhelming feedback for LUI v1.0 i decided to work on an interface for all of you.
It combines an absolute clean solo layout with an informative, well structured ui for raider.
It's your choice! You can decide witch parts of the UI are visible and which are not.
To bring something totally new, all panels will show/hide with an remarkable nice alpha slide effect.
After 5 weeks of hard work, hundreds of cigarettes and many sleepless nights i'm very proud to release LUI v2.0!
INSTALLATION
- Make sure WoW is closed.
- Create a backup of your Interface and WTF folders, and then delete them from your WoW folder.
- Copy my Interface and WTF folders into your WoW directory.
- Go into the WTF folder and rename YOURACCOUNT, YOURSERVER, YOURCHAR.
- To keep saved keybindings and macros, drop the bindings-cache, bindings.cache.old, macros-cache,
and macros-cache.old from your backup character folder into your new character folder.
- Start WoW
- Activate the checkbox to load older addons at the character screen.
CONFIGURING INGAME
- For Resolution 1280x1024 type /reflux switch LUI_1280
- For Resolution 1600x1200 type /reflux switch LUI_1600
- For Resolution 1680x1050 type /reflux switch LUI
- For Resolution 1920x1080 type /reflux switch LUI_1920
- Type /grid config, then go to Layout and check if Solo = None and all other Layouts are 25 Players.
- Resize/Reposition the Chat Window to fit the Panel. Important!
- Type /rl to reload the UI.
- If you have Problems, just read the FAQ!
Configuring Debuff Tracker (Optional)
If you want to use the debuff tracker (list of debuffs on a boss mob between player and target frame) you have to update the list of players with Imp.FF, Master Poisoner, Heart of the Crusader...
Type /kgpanels config, then go to active panels, choose "debuffs",
then go to scripts and choose OnEvent to do this.
Clickable Sidebar(Optional)

FAQ
Q: Something is wrong with my ChatFrame! The Background Panel is at the wrong Position!!! What should i do? A: Unlock the Chat. Put him to the center of the screen, so you have enough space. Resize him. Put him back to the bottom left corner. Make some final resizes. Done. Important!
Q: I installed your UI and all addons, just everything is messed up at the center ot the screen. Whats the problem?
A: You will have to load your Reflux profile. Just read the "Ingame Configuration" !!
Q: I typed in your reflux command, but the problem occurs anyway!!
A: Then you made a mistake by installing the UI correctly. Make sure you renamed your WTF folders correctly. Make sure you did not overwrite your existing folders with mine.
Q: I got thousends of lua errors from bartender! What should i do?
A: Make sure all 10 Bartender Bars are enabled! You can hide bars you do not wanna see at the visibilty tab.
Q: What's the name of the addon that displays the timers above the player frame?
A: FortExorcist Spelltimer (Type /fx)
Q: I installed some other addons and now there name and icon appear at the center of the screen. How i can add them to the topBar(FuBar) or hide them?
A: Type /sbc (StatBlockCore)
Q: Is it possible to add a third ActionBar?
A: Yes.
A: type /bt
put a third bar above your existing two.
go to the visbility tab and uncheck always hide.
type /kgpanels config
go to ActivePanels
choose "bars", "bars2", "bars3"
increase the height to 130
choose "line_bars_left_down", "line_bars_right_down"
increase the height to 91
increase the Y Offset to -39
Q: All the Panels are still there, even when i am in Solo Mode.. whats the Problem?
A: Type /grid config, then go to Layout and Check if Solo Mode = None.
Q: What is that box between player and target frame that appears in bossfights and how i get rid of it?
A: This is a selfmade DebuffTracker. It will show all debuffs on the boss which are increasing mage dps. you can configure this tracker for every class by typing /kgpanels config, then go to active panels and choose "debuffs". Delete the Panel to get rid of it, or edit the LUA Code you'll find at Scripts -> OnEvent.

Go to your ingame options --> mouse --> sensitivity : make it faster here.
Auctioneer is compatible. You must have installed something wrong. Use the actual version !
I got a question, the mouse seems to be moving alot slower when i load your LUI, how can i make it move faster? I can't seem to find it in the option menu. Also, i installed auctioneer and it gave me a bunch of LUA error, is this package not compatible with auctioneer?
I'l try that as soon as servers go live. One last question about your realier response. you said to change the folder names to my info (account info, server name, character name) Do i only put the account name in caps? or all three in caps? Just the last thing i want to verify.
I'm using 1920, it works fine for me, i did everything i told you to do.
Make sure your computer res is set to 1920, your wow res is set to 1920, then do the /reflux switch LUI_1920
if its still not working i have no idea what your doing wrong, i know when i first tried i tried to keep addons and stuff from WTF folder, and just ended up with all this crap stuck in the middle of the screen.
So ill make this pretty clear
Go to your wow folder, create a backup of your wtf and interface folders, then delete them from your wow folder. So now you shouldnt see an interface or WTS folder in your wow folder. Then put the LUI's interface and WTF folder inside your wow folder and change the accountname etc.

Also another thing you need to be 100% sure of...that /reflux command is Cap sensitive.
I'm assuming the download files need to be unzipped?
Actually i have no idea because the install instructions don't mention it. When I tried installing without unzipping it didn't work. I then unzipped and was so pleased to see it working because i love this UI.

Take your WTF and Interface folder out of your wow folder. Put the LUI interface and WTF folder into it. Go into WTF > Account and rename 'YOURACCOUNT' to your account name (in caps) then go into that, and rename 'YOURSERVER' to the server you play on, Then in yourserver rename 'YOURCHAR' to your characters name, in caps.
Open wow, make sure 'load out of date addons' is checked.
then
/reflux switch LUI_1920 (depending on your resolution, also make sure you change your resolution in video options.

Ive tried plenty of times to get this addon pack to work but i cant figure it out. I dont know what i might be doing wrong, but /reflux switch LUI_1920 doesnt work anytime i try it, and i back up everything i need to. Can anyone help?..I would really like to use this addon pack. Please help.
Um, firstly all the menu type things (character, spellbook, talents etc) are locked in positon in the top right side of the screen, which is annoying if you have the left sidebar.. How can i unlock them, so i can move them around.
Also, how do i unlock the action bars, so i can move stuff around in there. I did it last night but i ended up stuffing things up so i've started again, also want to unlock my health bar etc.
Plus is there anyway of putting something on there with all the menu links, um like (character, spellbook, talents)

EDIT: i can't move using 'a' or 'd' either, they cast spells... :S

Hello Loui as many have stated we are all antsy about 3.0!!!
Just wanted to give you some suggestions:
1. For people who like to reduce screen clutter, can you possibly make Recount/Skada occupy the same space with Omen(or Diamond Threat Meter, which is REALLY nice). For example, they have the same kgpanels but Skada is set to disappear in combat and Omean will appear there while in combat.
2. Support for other boss mods, DXE comes to mind here.
3. Support for another bar mod...I have a Razer Naga and it come with its own bar mod, very similar to Bartender, but I would really like to use this mod as it supports the extra buttons the mouse has.
Lastly, I wanted to check on some features of 3.0:
1. You can put things where you want and attach them there with panels correct? Does this come in a nifty options menu, something like Pitbull configuration menu?
2. Will Pally Power come with its own panels and a hide/show option? If it does i will QQ until 2011!

I dont know about the Resolution issue, but I have used both Healbot and Vuhdo and I would recommend trying out a combination of his Grid and downloading Clique.
Clique is WAY better than the other two for assigning clicks of your mouse button to do buffs, heals, etc on unit frames.
