Whisper Chat Window in Use even with WIM active.

nUI : InfoPanel [Whispers]

This InfoPanel Plugin allows the user to have their whisper chat in a separate screen accessible as required. This one is using panel 21.

I am using ChatFrame4 for this purpose so you may find you need to reset any extra chat frames you may have set up as ChatFrame4 may have been set up already by yourself.

You can also change all references of ChatFrame4 to ChatFrameX where X is the number you want it to use instead.

As with the GuildChat plugin you can temporarily disable the plugin prior to removing it by typing /nuiwc disable. You can then re-enable it before logging out with /nuiwc disable. This is the only way I know of that will remove the window totally.

Foreign Language Versions

At the present this plugin does not support multi language settings. enUS and enGB versions will work fine however and the ability to add new languages is possible using the nUI_InfoPanel_Whispers_L values accordingly.

Next option is Healbot and Omen but trying to think how to work out fitting everything in. I know from experience that Healbot in 25 mans overfill the panel frame so I end up dragging it out anyway otherwise it covers the unit panels. Then again it just doesn't seem right to heal using a window in the bottom right .. I'm getting there though. Learning grid too as that seems to have some useful functionality that benefits me in certain raids. __________________ Have too many addons ? Try nUI and see if that helps relieve the situation. Thanks, that sounds promising. I started looking at the core code as I am working on integrating PallyPower into a panel as it's something I use. A dock/undock feature would be so great. Especially for raiders as alot of times I am needing Decursive, Omen, and HealBot on screen at the same time (Pally Tank). That ability would be so helpful. I'll check the main comments section and post something under suggestion.

All the plugins do are reparent the addons frame to the infopanel frame so that when the infopanel is hidden then so is the addon. And I know Scott is working on something to do with the Infopanels so this sort of thing may already be covered. __________________ Have too many addons ? Actually I am using nUI+. Maybe I was a bit confusing in the way my question was worded.

The Whispher works in the infopanel as it should and I can cycle through it an the other ones I use as expected (Dual Stats, Guild Chat, etc etc). What I was wanting to do was undock the tells so I can drag them around but have them wrapped in a better interface than the default blizz ones.

I know there are possibly addons that do this already but I was thinking more along the lines of a Dock, UnDock feature within nUI itself. That would allow one to say, drag a infopanel onto the screen at a predesigned location as needed and redock it when done.

It seems to be hard docked into the lower right pane and I can cycle to it and receive tells as I would expect. I would prefer to have a floating version to do this. Maybe I've just done something wrong. I do that often.

If you don't have any extra chat frames then you should have the following: ChatFrame1 - General ChatFrame2 - CombatLog ChatFrame3 - GuildChat ChatFrame4 - Whispers Hmm, think i just saw what you mean. Just noticed no tab around. Will look into it now I can see the problem. But the whispers themselves appear as far as I can see. Edit: Okay, found the cause. Thought I had overlooked a change in the guild chat plugin but I guess it had to be set the way it was for it to work.
