Leatrix Error Control

An Addon for World of Warcraft by Leatrix

What does it do?

Leatrix Error Control simply hides error messages (eg. 'Not enough rage') and zone text. It will optionally hide information messages (such as quest progress) and system text too.

Everything is configurable through an options panel. The options you chose are saved for your whole account, so you don't need to set the addon up for each character.

Options

You can access the options panel by typing /lec, or by navigating through the normal interface options menu.

There are 6 options (as shown here). You can hide information text, system text, error text, zone and subzone text.

You can also exclude certain important errors from being hidden. At the moment, these are 'Inventory is full' and 'Your quest log is full'. I really don't think anything else is needed.

Command Switches

In addition to the options panel, you can configure Leatrix Error Control using command switches, and I'll explain them here.

/lec - Shows the options panel.

/lec [type] [action] - Show, hide or toggle error text or zone text.
Type can be error, info, system, zone or subzone.
Action can be show, hide or toggle.
For example, you can use '/lec error show' to enable error text or '/lec subzone toggle' to toggle subzone text.

/lec help - Shows the command switches available.

The toggle feature is useful if you put it in a macro. What you can do is hide all errors using the options panel, and create a macro containing "/lec error toggle" (without quotes). Then, as you're playing, if you think an error is trying to be shown, you can just click the macro button and the errors will show up. Click it again and the errors will be gone. Simple!
