This addon will be used by my guild. There is a very simple way to make this a win/win for all the guild members and the guild itself. My idea is simple...allow all members of the guild to use the guild bank to repair (of course depending on your rank you will be able to spend more gold everyday to repair the higher rank you are set up by your guild master.
So you ask how can we trust guild members to visit the guild bank and deposit their collected gold? The answer is you cannot. However you simply make it a required rule to visit the guild bank after making any repair so the addon can deposit your required tax. So now when officers are looking at the money log for the guild bank they should see a deposit following any member that repairs. Any member that is caught repairing without a deposit will be subject to the rules set up by your guild. You can do a number of things like giving them warnings and then demotions (which would bring them down in rank and reduce their daily repair amounts). Anyway this is how you can use it quite effectively in a guild. Once you have this system going you will be able to fine tune the tax rate so that you have a minimal positive inflow in order to keep the guild bank growly slowly while allowing all members to repair. Now of course if you could make the addon deposit gold into the guild bank whenever you use the guild bank to repair that would be the best way to do it. But I don't think this is possible as you would probably need to be at the guild bank. |

Hi I have been using this for over 2 months now and really enjoy it and have gotten a at lest two of my guilds to use as opt for thous who use the repair from bank. what I would like to know is why even thou i tell it not to spam chat it still does? Its really bugging me when i depot 250+g in to the bank and it spams it and then the ones who don't have and much funds as I do get a bit up set, but then others who have it would also like to stop the spam on theirs too .. even if it just to say I put some in and not what i put in would be fine.
Also how do i get it to not spam the say channel when I have less the I owe on me? I send most my gold to a banker alts then divvy it to my toon each Friday then pay may tax. |

I am working on a form in options that you can set your own tax, and perhaps we can dedicate a "working piggy bank" function to you. I was sketchy at first about mailing gold from back end or just through code, same as withdraws from guildbank, i even had in mind putting blocks in the addon so if it was attempted with the addon it would error or lock. Since you said it like that it does make alot of sense, i am always forgeting to load my alts up or cash out with my gbank toons ![]() Well back to the drawing board, so many good ideas so little time lol. oh ya the rolls eyes smiley says sarcastic but to me he looks content n happy with morning coffee lol.

I'm curious if there are any plans, or if the idea has even presented itself, to have it mail the tax to your own bank alt? I would enjoy this addon if I could use it to save up funds from all of my alts - but only my bank alt is in the bank alt's guild.
Anyhow, I do like the concept of this addon, but I don't see my main's guild putting the tax in the guild info/motd for a single member XD. While I do donate my loose change to the guild when I remember to, it's not too big of an issue for me to do so. I do, however, always forget to mail off a portion of the gold I made for the day to my bank alt to store in the guild bank there... I know in some ways that would be outside of the scope of this addon perhaps. Maybe there is some other 'piggy bank' style addon I should be looking into. I think your taxation of various sources is exactly what I'm looking for, though.

Re: Re: Re: ???
/guildtax options opens the options menu, there you can uncheck all 8 sources of taxation. Thus paying 0 in tax. I have thought about that alot, in its first stages the GM could set a tax amount "%" but you could not see it unless you looked at the Guild Info tab in social. I thought to myself a guildmaster could set a huge tax and if people didnt notice they would loss alot of gold. So i added to the interface the current tax in %, and where the source is.
