HITSHADE UI v5

1680x1050

Hitshade UI was rebuilt for its fifth version. The screenshots dont really do it justice. You have to play it and raid to get the full experience. If you're a raider like me, you probably want a wealth of information available to you at a glance. This compilation attempts to provide that information in a compact, tidy and pleasing fashion. While it has to some extent, grown out of its minimalistic look, its goal is to provide a full featured raiding UI while using very little memory.

(Initial versions of Hitshade UI used 6-8MB during raids. The current version uses roughly 10MB during raids with its new features)

Previous versions of the UI were not overly friendly to tanks or healers. Having played my alts more regularly I thought this a rather glaring flaw so I have ensured that v5.0 is suitable for all raid roles.

You can view v5.0 in in action here.

I take no credit for the creation of mods contained, only some very minimal adjustments.

In raids Ive found that, the target cast bar can be covered by the targets buffs/debuffs.

Its a relatively minor issue that can be easily corrected by adjusting the cast bar positions via "/acb"

I will correct these positioning problems with an incremental update over the next couple of days, but as its not a game-breaking problem its not high on my list of priorities at the moment.

Hey, thanks for the awesome UI, i love it.

Just a nub question tho, how do you turn off the raid frames on the lower right hand corner if i'm using grid as heals?

As far as I know, there isn't currently a way to choose which bars are hidden when using a vehicle. As I understand, rActionBarStyler is simply designed to allow manipulation of the in game action bars.

Since the standard UI hides all other buttons while in a vehicle I assume nothing was written in to the addon to change this behavior.

I dont have any plans to update this addon until 3.3 goes live.

Based on the behavior Ive seen on the PTR, there are a lot of updates that will need to occur in order for this ui to remain functional. Of course, this is highly dependant on the addon authors but rest assured I'll update asap!

I've tried the MyDPS broker, but it doesn't seem accurate in comparison to my guildie's recount. I play on a 2.5 year old laptop, so my frame rate is not the best and I need to keep memory usage down as much as possible.
I would suggest Skada

Because its modular you can disable everything you dont want to track, reducing the strain on your system. While its much more lightweight than recount, unfortunately any damage meter generally uses a large chunk of memory and cpu cycles that will further reduce your raid performance. Unless you find it absolutely necessary I would probably run without a meter at all and just rely on your guild mates.

You could adjust the ui scale in your game options menu to further increase the size of fonts, etc. Sadly, there is no easy fix.

I may look at making this ui compatible with other resolutions in the future, but for the moment it seems unlikely.

Indeed, the font size of your chatbox can be adjusted as usual. (Right-click on the chat tab and adjust "font-size")

Many of the addons also include the ability to adjust text size (oUF_Nivaya, Skada, sThreatMeter, MSBT all have this ability built in to their options). The others can have their scale adjusted if the text size itself cant be changed.
