I've always rather loathed the default UI, too graphic, too busy and not handy enough. I've always liked minimalism and simplicity. And I wanted this pictured in my interface because that is exactly how I like it. Therefore I try to mix fuctionality with aesthetics. The positioning of my UF's are due to my love for PVP'ing. They're placed alongside my character so I don't need to look away at a person's remaining HP. However, because I do the occasional instance on my levelling alt and the rare heroic on my main, this compilation has been made suitable enough for any proper PVE'er. May you be healing, DPS'ing or tanking, it will suit you fine if you choose to try it out.
(This UI was edited on a 1680x1050 resolution and I don't have any current plans to edit it for any other resolution. For the reason that I don't have access to a smaller monitor that will allow proper editing to fit any other resolution. However, the UI should be set up simply enough to edit mods to any resolution if you have basic understanding of unlocking addons.)
Installation
Before you do anything, please always back up your WTF (Warcraft Tempory Files), Interface and Fonts folders.
Delete any remaining WTF/Interface/Fonts folders in your WoW directory.
Extract the folders in this .ZIP file into your WoW directory.
Open up the new WTF folder and open up "Account". Inside that folder you should see something called "Account Name in Caps", rename this to your own account name (in all capital letters), then open up this folder and you should see a new one called "Server Name", rename this to your realm (the one you play on). After that open up that one again and you should see one final folder saying "Character name", rename this to your character's name and you're all set.
When you're in-game, your screen may look like an absolute mess, but this is easily fixed.
Simply type in;
/reflux switch Ketevan
This should set up your UI like you see in the screen, if by any chance it doesn't look like that yet. Please load the profile "Ketevan" of the following addons, using these slash commands:
If you happen to like Carbonite, Auctioneer or a keybinding addon, please look inside the folder Interface for a folder called "-- Optional AddOns --". You can find a few addons in here that you might appreciate. Simply copy these into the regular AddOns folder and you're all set. They're already been configured for the most part.
AddOns
Align - This will apply a grid to your entire screen to easily lign up unit frames and so forth.
Bartender - Action bar.
Bindpad (optional) - Keybind addon that works perfectly with dual spec.
ButtonFacade - To skin buff/action bar buttons/etc. with.
caelNamePlates - Exactly what it says, the nameplates above one's head when nameplates are enabled.
Classtimer - Keeps track of DoT's on your target.
Combuctor - Bag addon.
Cowtip - Tooltip.
DBM/Deadly Boss Mods - Timers in instances/heroics/raids (timer until the next portal in Violet Hold, for example) and timers in battlegrounds, for example until a bunker or tower is destroyed in Alterac Valley.
dMinimap - Minimap, like it says.
DontBugMe - So I have this friend, who ever since I showed him. Likes to keep the /AFK or /DND tag on, even when moving. So when you whisper him, it shows you the whole AFK spam every time. This makes it show you that spam only once, so you know someone is AFK, then disables the spam entirely. Such a pleasure for the eyes!
Forte - An addon that shows your cooldowns in a timeline, showing in how long they will be back up.
Grid - A "grid" of your party and/or raid members, especially nice for healing (or "dispelling") classes.
kgPanels - To make things very pretty. Allows you to upload character or make panels to "prettify" your UI. It's awesome.
MikScrollingBattleText - A scrolling battle text, popping on beside your character showing you the damage you do, crits and so forth.
Omen - Threat meter.
PartyTime - After 3.2, several addons were reported to spam your char with "You are not in a party!" when you entered a battleground. Instead of disabling all of my addons one by one to see which one was causing it, I simply got another addon to get rid of the spam. Although, the battleground addon spam might've been fixed by now.
Prat - Chat addon, edit the chat window, polish up the typing bar (which pops up), change how your chat is shown, etc.
Quartz - Casting bars.
Recount - Damage meter.
Reflux - Addon to instantly load every profile you've programmed it to, with one simple load slash command.
SatrinaBuffFrames - Buffs and debuffs.
SellOMatic - Sells all your gray trash to a vendor when you visit one with one click or if you program it so, it'll do so automatically when visiting a vendor.
SharedMedia - All the sexy and awesome things wrapped up in one folder. Thanks Ishtara! (Do NOT update this if you don't know how to, you can risk losing everything in here).
SLDataText - Text showing several data. Durability, mail, latency, FPS and more along those lines.
Stuf - Unit frames.
xDamageFont - Changes your default damage font.

For the reason that I don't have access to a smaller monitor that will allow proper editing to fit any other resolution.
If you wanted to make a version for smaller resolutions, run WoW in windowed mode, non-maximised, and with "disable resize" unchecked. You'll have a window of exactly the size of the other resolutions that you can adjust things in.
I'm not saying this as a "you should do this". I'm just mentioning it as a "you could do this".
Beautiful work on the UI though.

Originally posted by Achela I am amazed by this project, as it perfectly blends style with functionality.
However, I wish to know why the author chose to offset the UFs to the left rather than the right, as windows (calendar, talents, spellbook, etc.) open on the left, possibly obscuring these UFs. Offset to the right, and this problem becomes less critical. Is there something that I am missing? Thank you.
As a heavy PVP'er, I tend to like having everything I need in one area so I don't have to move my head around to find something. I mainly picked the left side my character due to the chat being on the bottom left and (when enabled) Carbonite on the middle left. When in BG's, teamwork is a neccesity so I want to be able to see the chat in the corner of my eye. Carbonite shows the layout when in those BG's and it shows me where everyone is and what they're up to.
I suppose I could've switched the chat and Carbonite to the right hand side but I'm so used to having the chat left that everything rather followed. I suppose in the end, this is all personal preference, though. But this seems to work perfectly for me. Either way, I suppose this could all be switched to the right rather easily if desired.
And thank you!
