It do overwrite the standalone addon, and it does it on the sole purpose to not have two addons doing the same thing. If you're already using other addon for managing chat, all you need is familiar sounds you're used to. If not, the standalone addon is what you need. Not both of them. |

Imho this shouldn't have the same name as the original ChatSounds addon.
Despite it hasn't seen updates recently that is for the most part because it doesn't need any/ it works. I have a 3.3 update tested and ready for the added PARTY_LEADER channel that will be pushed when patch 3.3 goes live. Overwriting a standalone addon with a plugin for other addons doesn't seem right.
