Hello there :-) Great chat mod very unintrusive which i like very much. But i've got this wierd problem. When i use the gchat mod, my xloot (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-a...ils/xloot.aspx) addon stops working
It simply does not echo the loot on the screen as it's supposed to? Could there be some kind of interference going on? Please keep up the good work :-) Regards from DenmarkDaniel |

But it will NOT be a part of the next build that I'll hopefully upload within a week from today. All the other issues with the editbox has been solved in the next build though. It hides 100% even when in IM mode. And I've added some nice features regarding the look of the chat tabs. But you'll all see that within a week. (hopefully) ![]() |

![]() I am planning on overriding the blizzard default though, in a future build. When users choose "always hidden", the editbox SHOULD always be hidden, regardless of what Blizzard says. I designed this addon to be easy-to-use, and to fit into any UI package on the planet. And that only works if the option to hide the butt ugly default editbox ALWAYS works! I would have to come up with another way of visually identifying what the current active chat frame is, though, for user that prefer the new IM styled chat. I know my girlfriend does, because it allows her to chat to 10000 people at the same time without ever messing up the tells. She has 10000 whisper windows open of course. But to her, it's all good. She clicks the tab that's blinking, and hits Enter to chat. It never fails, and so I reckon my addon should support this better.

Go into the Blizzard Interface Options - Social. After patch 3.3.5 there's an option to choose between "classic" or "IM" styled chat. The difference is that IM has a separate editbox for every single window, with separate histories, separate "sticky" channels (channels you last typed into that appears when you hit Enter) and all that. And of course; IM only slightly fades out the editbox, it doesn't hide it. The intention is that you're supposed to see which of your windows currently are active. Set the chat style to "classic style" in the blizard interface options menu (located in the social submenu), and the editbox should disappear like before. On a sidenote; In the next and upcoming version of gChat, I have removed the special gChat editbox. It'll be an optional plugin instead. This was partly because I wanted to remove gChat's dependence on gMedia.

Hello, i might have some problems with the chatfram, but not realy sure
if this is intended to be there. The editbox is there all the time, even if i doesnt write anything etc, it's an faded version of the one you see when you write. And it's right ontop of the tabs, General, Combat Log etc. Here's an video i made to show how it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TgzfxgShxc It's pretty annoying imo ^^ I can't berly change tabs. / Mjolkspam |

It's a feature I plan to add, yes.
![]() I have no ETA on when. I originally wanted to include it for the WoW patch 3.3.5 update, but things seldom or never go as I plan. Hopefully I'll be able to update gChat sometime before August, or in the beginning of August. That's the personal deadline I've given myself to finish my UI, and gChat is very much a part of that. Still... no guarantees. It's just an unofficial estimate.
