CoehlUI

Version 2.2

CoehlUI Website

Video of CoehlUI (in German, English coming soon)

This UI is built on a lot of the aesthetics that are popular within minimalist UI's, coupled with some more graphically intense HUD elements, and while the bar textures are recreated only to fit the layouts, they are largely inspired by Caith UI.

One thing that one will quickly notice about this UI is that there is a tabbing structure on the right lower panel, which behaves much liked tabbed browsing in a browser but in a much less involved manner. What this does is allows someone to hide their meters when they are not important, and instead show excess action bars, or information regarding CPU usage and other Fubar like stats.

The far right bar and minimap are also capable of being toggled thanks to this scripting, which is all done in KgPanels.

Resolutions

This UI was built on a 1440x900 and is to some degree more favoring to resolutions that have it's same proportions. However, it still works with all reported resolutions so far.

Installation

The ReadMe for this UI is located on my website here.

AddOns used in this UI are as follows

!BugGrabber
BugSack

  Change Log - CoehlUI
v2.2
Updated AddOns to work for 3.3, not a lot more. Apologies for how long it took to release this, been busy with my podcast.

v2.1
Omen now should behave like it was intended in the tabbing system.
Some text tags that are turned off by default have now been stylized in the event that they are enabled.
Added BugSack to the UI for easier management of Bug Grabber and reading errors.
Made totem timers a touch smaller.
Created a layout for the target of the focus, in case it's enabled.
Recreated Quartz layouts for the new version of Quartz.

v2.0
Fixed texture problems that were crashing the UI for Mac users.
Adjusted Pitbull to be prettier.
Replaced Skada with Omen and Recount.
Created one more resolution compatibility for super wide resolutions.
Refined some small details in each AddOn.

v1.3
Previous versions of the UI were compressed in Vista, which is causing some graphics issues on Macs. This version is exactly the same as 1.2 but compressed from Ubuntu for integrity. If your UI is working, you don't really care.

v1.2
Ninja fix for shaman totem bar. 1.1 left up and in your face. Which wasn't bad to fix, but wasn't very pro of me.

v1.1
Using Reflux, I added functionality for almost all resolutions within Reflux profiles.
Made installation easier with Reflux.
Replaced Chatter with Prat.
Added DBM.
Added Clique.
Added !ClassColors.

v1.0
Fixed an issue with mouse intercepts behind the right tabbing area.
The scripting used to have issues on servers that were not English. This has been resolved.
Grid Side Icons is now installed, all decursing is on by default, and the squares have been shrunk.
Aggro notice in Pitbull is easier to see.
Redundant Shaman totem timers removed.
Combo points fixed on target frame.
Created a coehlui and default profile for all addons, so either can be chosen.
Removed some silly druid mana text while in forms that use another source of power.
Probably some other crap. Hey, I'm being honest.

Im pissed

Several things, I love the UI, but just to be sure, on your website when I was replacing the sentences in notepad and you said if I found something called "reset ui something" im assuming you meant anything that wasnt 1, so I changed two of them to the ones you provided. secondly, i go into wow, everything is in the middle of my screen and I type /reflux copy coehlui01.33 and it wont go through, says "does not exist" in the buggrabber addon, please help, I have always had trouble with UI packs and I finally want one that is simple and looks good.

end
end
Thanks Lifelace! Working on the tweaking now!

It can be, this is something you would need to take on yourself.
This is quite and extensive change so I am not going to spell out exactly how to do it. However here is a little start.

You will need to modify the OnClick and Onload scripts for any rightmenu-XXXXX panel.

Say that i want to put grid somewhere in the tab section, what is or how do i find the command for that. For skada you have "SkadaBarWindowthreat" each one is a little different so i was wondering if these were commands from within the addons themselves or just something that kg panels uses to recognize them and call them up. Either way, any help would be awesome.

Some UI's are a lot easier to set up, but only because they support a specific one or two resolutions. You are correct in that there's more to set up in this UI.

An executable installer would probably simplify a few of these steps, but that would, absolutely and certainly cause people to accuse my UI of containing a virus at some point. People always do this. So I don't have any plans to do this, sadly.

Part of the issue though is how the instructions are delivered. I think people would be quite surprised at how simple it seems if the install instructions were done in a video. I've meant to do this for a long time and even tried once. Hopefully I can get to that soon.

The messing about is an unfortunate side effect to this UI compilation supporting multiple screen resolutions. However Coehl has found a very helpful solution in the Reflux addon that made setup trouble free for most users.

For the users that have issues with setting it up for the first time, need help integrating additional addons they want that are not included in the package, or making certain customizations to the packaged setup. You will find amble support here and at the Coehl UI Website Forums.

Ah, unfortunately, some of my best screenshots were taken from my install, which has a few more AddOns such as PallyPower and MarkHelper. I don't know if MarkHelper is what I'd suggest for this purpose anymore, but that is the AddOn you see. Works pretty well.
