Basically, it's fork of Funkydude's BasicChatMods with some tweaks by ALZA and some stolen code from Low Memory Chat by Jaliborc.

Features:

completely transparent and stripped input box at the top of chat frame
all buttons removed, except the scroll back, which is shown only when chat is scrolled up
no need to hold alt for moving cursor in input box
removed hover for chat background
chat fading disabled
channel names are shortened ([Raid] becomes r, [Raid Leader] - R etc.)
button for copying chat text and ability to copy urls from chat
sticky channels
tell target (/tt) function
alt-click inviting from chat

To-do in future:

fix bugs if any

Please, note, this addon perfectly suites my personal needs and there won't be adding any features by request likely, only fixing bugs.

Tried to find something on the LUA but I'm not a programmer, just a hackjob coder. And a request to remove the chat tab borders, as you have with the editbox and chatframe. Love the addon btw, switched from the mem-hog Chatter. Wanderlust is amazing as well.

I use the same position for the chat and have no problems with it.

Just a matter of taste and clean corner.

Had a look at your picture ... it's not there (v1.15).

Fyi I deactivated:
## channelnames.lua
## editbox.lua
## sticky.lua

That's weird. Buttons works for me… It's buttons.lua module and i don't really see how this could interfere with locale or smth (i'm playing with ruRU). Maybe some other addon blocks it, that's the only idea i have now.

The + for chat copying is sitting in a very uncomfortable position. I want to place my chat box at the very left and bottom edge and the + is in the way. Upper right corner would be a good position. Edit (if anyone's interested): I replaced line 1 of chatcopy.lua with Code: local ButtonPoint = { "TOPRIGHT" , DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME, "TOPRIGHT", 6, 30 } Now the button sits at the top right corner and moves with it if you drag the chatscreen. 2. Yep, you can turn them on and off and select different formats via ingame settings for chat and communication.
