Konfer PUG Edition (hereafter refered to simply as KPUG) is a loot distribution addon for pick-up groups (PUGs) that use open rolls for determining winners. It is designed to make the looting process as quick and efficient as possible and offers a very clean, simple user interface. It was inspired by the roll manager in Konfer Suicide Kings Edition, which many users really liked and wanted to be split into a separate mod. This is it, on steroids.

To access the mod type: /kpug. For all usage options type /kpug usage.

== Features ==
Here are some of the features that help make the loot process easy and quick, as well as some other reasons why you may want to use KPUG.

  • Supports main spec (1-100) and off-spec (101-200) rolls.
  • Directly assign loot to users through the KPUG loot window.
  • Decayed rolls where a user's maximum roll value decreases each time they win an item.
  • Easily switch a users roll between main spec and off-spec.
  • Remove any user's roll.
  • Record loot assignment history.
  • Allows you to record user attributes and skill level for finding members for future PUGs.
  • Send messages directly from the user list.
  • Automatically assign loot to the highest roller, no need to go back to the Blizzard user interface.
  • Assign loot no-one rolled on to an enchanter.
  • Can set minimum and maximum values for main spec and off-spec rolls. If teh size of the range is different between the two, when you switch lists, it will set you to the same percentage through the range that you had on the original list.

This isn't rocket science and this mod won't exactly rock your world but if you tend to run PUGs a lot it may really help make looting less painful. I hope you like it.

Absolutely nothing except for teh change to KKore required for KKonferSK, if you use that mod as well as this one.

  • Added Russian language translation thanks to "Finntroll". Very much appreciated.
  • Marking a raider as an enchanter now has an immediate effect, no need to reload the ui.
  • Master looter now has two buttons for main/off-spec rolls becuase typing /roll is really hard for some people.

  • Roll timer countdown now optional
  • Roll timeout extension optional
  • Can have different decay values for main and off-spec
  • Improved the layout of the decay editor
  • Don't duplicate messages the master looter sees
  • Other minor tweaks and fiddles

Changes in r303:
  • Added a new feature, called decayed rolls. This is where a user's maximum roll is decreased by a configurable amount each time they win a roll. You can configure the amount the rolls are decayed by as well as the maximum number of times they can be decayed. You can also broadcast the list of currently decayed users to the raid, as well as editing the decayed users in case user's swap items after winning a roll.
  • Fixed a small bug where you could no longer select a loot item after cancelling a roll.
  • Fixed a bug where changing the selected loot item would only work once.

Changes in r302:
  • Fixed the Lua error with SetMinMax that some users saw

Release 301:
Fixed a bug that prevented you from starting a roll on a new item if no-one rolled on teh previous item and it went to a disenchater.

Release 300:
Upgraded to use the new KKore library shared with KKonferSK. You can now also chatlink items from the loot and history windows, and the history window displays item tooltips.

Release 213:
Added the ability to set the minimum and maximum values for main and off-spec rolls.

I am looking forward to trying this out. In reference to the comments I have to agree having three choices seems a little much. We only do main Spec then off spec after that it is assigned to one of our raid team members to disenchant and drop in the guild vault to be distributed in whatever means would be needed. I could see three if you wanted say main spec, off spec, and say free roll (to DE or vendor for example), but to me the need does not make much sense.

Not trying to tell you how to run your guild or anything but what is the difference between "Need" and "Main Spec"? Seems to me like you are introducing a layer of complexity that achieves nothing except the complexity. I dont think an additional tier will add much value to the mod. I try to keep my mods single-purpose. This one is meant to just manage simple rolls for PUG's. For more complicated roll systems I'd have to think about writing a mod that addresses that in a way that can be useful to a broad range of people. I ran a pug with someone who was using this addon and went looking for it to use in my guild. The only thing I'd love to see added is the ability to set the names of the roll types and to add additional roll types/roll ranges (as we prefer to use Need/MS/OS roll tiers in my guild, with different limits on wins for each roll type). So having 3 roll ranges specified would be optimal for us. Thanks for the great addon.

Re: Timeout extension

I can certainly add an option to make roll timeout extensions optional, but the announcement stuff is working fine for me in all 3 modes. BTW I am going to make roll timesouts themselves optional too, as some people like to leave it open for as long as there are people interested, and discuss loot ad nauseum over vent.

Timeout extension

Can we get an option to disable the roll timeout extension? It actually annoys me when people roll late and i have to wait again. In 25m man, it can continue for upwards of 30s, and i have no patience for handholding people thru raid loot.

I also can't seem to get the countdown to work. It annouce 10s at the start of loot, but nothing after that. I set options for announce 10s and 5s, rather than a counter from 5.

yay thanks for this.
I pug alot and sometimes during 25mn out of all the chaos of rolls I was able to give the wrong loot to some person. Who just likes to roll for fun.
This is a really great addon.

You are very welcome, and thank you for taking the time out to say thanks, it is greatly appreciated Considering how many people out there actually run PUGs or who use /roll for deciding things I am surprised that so few people have tried or downloaded this. Perhaps poor choice of name or something or there is another mod out there that does the same thing but better.

I have spend the past hour looking for a loot mod to use for my guild which does not use DKP or any other type of loot bidding system. It's a simple one main spec one off spec item per person in the raid and this is absolutely perfect for what I want the mod to do. Just wanted to post a thank you, I really appreciate the simplicity of the mod.

I really appreciate it works with German localization and i'm seeing forward for the implementation of tresholf-changes. On EU-Blackmoore its common practice to roll 1-1000 for maingear and 1-100 for offspecc. When its possible to implement that it would help me alot leading pug-raids.

Also, if you like the suicide kings loot system my other mod, Konfer Suicide Kings edition is fully German-localized.

Hey there!
I rally love small, simple raid addons. Just one question on my side: Will it work in German? I have tried a fair share of loot addons and none of them really did it's job on a non-English locale.
Also, on my server it's common to have off-spec rolls with "/random 99" - any plan to implement this? (you know, people and their habits for rolling are kind of hard to change)
