Addon/Site Updated v1.2.1
The addon has been updated to support a 72 hour caching mechanism for tradelinks collected from chat. This gives users that logout before posting a chance to post again and reminds them at login if they have anything to post. It also keeps tradelinks that are cached from becoming stale by removing them if they are over three days old.
WowTradeShare has been updated to include a "profession" button next to each player's recipes in the search results. This links to a detailed list of all the recipes a player does and doesn't have. This includes the TradeSkillLink index, recipe index, recipe name, and an indicator of whether the player has the recipe or not. |

Re: Missing strings in language files
As always, thanks for all the great feedback. Also, thanks for officially translating wowtradeshare.com into German Contiki! That is huge! I will work on adding more translation strings as soon as I can.
I have been working on providing JSON data for populating widgets on Guild sites as of late. Currently if you go to http://wowtradeshare.com/guild/ you will get a listing of realms and corresponding IDs in JSON. If you continue to append IDs onto the URL you get more JSON data such that "/guild/realmId/guildId/professionId/recipeId" returns a list of players that can craft an item. For example, here is a list of all the players in my guild that make "Adept's Elixir" http://wowtradeshare.com/guild/1/1/1/33740/. I am hoping that others will be able to use the JSON data to display their guild member data. I will be writing a widget soon, probably in javascript, that others can use as a starting point for getting TradeShare data on their guild sites.

Greetings,
now that wowtradeshare.com uses the German language file I've noticed missing strings on the site. Here's what remains English-only or looks kinda wrong:
All the best

3.3.3 and i18n
Wowtradeshare.com has been updated to have the latest 3.3.3 patch recipes. A language selection mechanism has been also been added for German, French, Spanish, and Italian. Thanks for the support. Keep those ideas coming! This site wouldn't be nearly as nice without all the great inputs.
Cheers |

Hi there,
this is great news! I'd gladly help getting the translation right. Is there any chance to get a list of all translatable strings? All the best

Support for French, German, Spanish, and Italian
I am attempting to add localization to wowtradeshare.com and we now have a language selector option on http://beta.wowtradeshare.com
Any feedback is appreciated. If you have translations for my awful machine generated translations just send them to questions@wowtradeshare.com. Next, I will be concentrating on the wowhead translations for the site content. Thanks for the support everyone. |

i18n and trade channel inputs
At some point I plan on adding internationalization support to our site. Adding it in right now might be a little premature. There is a laundry list of other things that are currently needed for the site/addon. That said, i have been trying to collect feedback from people using our uservoice forum. If you have any suggestions please submit them at http://wowtradeshare.uservoice.com or click the bright red "FEEDBACK" tab on our site. This way, we can get a barometer on prioritizing new functionality.
Our original thoughts on posting information to the site was that users would consensually post their own data. Then we added the ability for users to post for their entire guild to make it easier (but still consensual). That said, the site becomes somewhat useless without data. It would be simple enough to modify our addon to scan the trade channel so that users can start populating the site with data from the trade channels of their own realms. In fact, the format for our links is fairly straight forward and if other addon authors (i.e. Gnomish Yellow Pages) want to post to our site that is perfect. I will start playing around with the trade channel option soon. Right now we are working on getting our search to display results in a more presentable way. BTW, we are always trying out new things at http://beta.wowtradeshare.com. |

Hi there,
I'd like to advertise the site every now and then to players on my realm, seeing that it fulfills the need for an out-of-game searchable profession database quite nicely. I'm sure other players would welcome this, too. However, on a non-English realm like mine I'm hesitant to do so much as mention the site, seeing that a fair amount of players may be unwilling or unable to jump through hoops language-wise. I'd like to see the place fully localized, like for example Wowhead. Do you have any plans for translating wowtradeshare.com, thus making it more accessible? All the best! //edit: on a side note, I've been using the add-on Gnomish Yellow Pages for quite some time. Whenever it sees a tradeskill link in a chat channel, it'll remember it. By now I've got quite a good overview of what players of all professions are able to craft on my realm. I'm thinking about uploading at least some of their tradeskill links to wowtradeshare.com, to kick-start the page a little with data. However, I wouldn't like the page to credit me for all those tradeskill links. Will the parsing logic be able to detect each player and guild correctly? Or will it look like everything I post is craftable by me?

Server update to address profession/locale issues
I updated the profession logic to use the ID of the profession instead of the name on the server side. Hopefully this should address any locale issues posters have been having. Thanks the for input Contiki!

Hi there,
thanks for adding support for elemental leatherworking. As for the other translations I think one of the fastest and most reliable ways to get them is the LibBabble-Inventory-3.0 localization page at WoWAce which has all the relevant strings properly translated. Maybe you can even go so far as to download the add-on and parse the content of LibBabble-Inventory-3.0.lua to get translations; that'd make it a piece of cake. Well, sort of ;-) All the best

http://www.wowtradeshare.com/filtere...Leatherworking Is there anyway you can provide german translations for the other professions? I would like to add them in until I figure out a better way. Thanks for the feedback. |
