MD5:
NeedToKnow Hunter
Version: 2.0
by: Ross [More]
-------------------------

Required to Work:
Addon: NeedToKnow
Author: Kitjan
Version: 3.2.08 (and up hopefully)

-------------------------

What this is:

Sets up the NeedToKnow bars to a 'preset' Hunter config (Currently what I use in my UI). It will show your important procs organzied in such a manner that it will be easy to tell when a buff procs that can increase your dmg or when you need to reapply Improved steady shot or Hunters mark. The breakdown below and screenshots should give a better example of everything this will add to your NeedToKnow.

Who this is for:
MM Hunters It can be a good starting point for SV and BM but its mainly just for MM hunters.- PVE

Version:
2.0

-------------------------

Description of what each bar color stands for:

MM Colors:

Blue used for increase in Haste procs/spells and abilites (Includes Rapid Fire/Bloodlust/Time Warp/Ancient Hysteria) these share the same bar due to them never really wanting to be activated at the same time. Allows ease of knowing when one is going so your don't use the other. Misdirection shares this bar cause I had nowhere else to toss it.

Red used for anything that will increase your DPS such as Gear Procs, Trinket Procs, Ring Procs, Pet Procs. Each bar contains one so u know when you get as much dps procs possible. I tried to set it up for BiS. This also incudes Serpent sting and Hunter's Mark/Marked for death.

Yellow used for your Auto shot.

-------------------------

Description of what Buffs, Procs and Debuffs are shown:

With the newest NeedToKnow you are now able to rename each buff/proc/etc to whatever you want. I decided to rename it to show what actually gets increased instead of a name. I provided info to what each one is renamed to below.

MM Bars:

A. Rapid Fire, Bloodlust, Time Warp, Ancient Hysteria, Misdirection
Renamed: +40% Attack Speed (Spell), +30% Attack Speed (Shaman), +30% Attack Speed (Mage), +30% Attack Speed (Pet), Threat Transfer

B. Improved Steady Shot (Will flash when not active, Only In Combat)
Renamed: +15% Attack Speed (Talent)

C. Devour
Renamed: +1532 Haste Rating (Trinket)

D. Matrix Restabilized
Renamed: +1624 Haste Rating (Trinket)

E. Call of the Wild
Renamed: +10% Attack Power (Pet)

F. Culling the Herd
Renamed: +3% Damage (Pet)

G. Flintlocke's Woodchucker
Renamed: +300 Agility (WProc)

H. Hunter's Mark / Marked for Death (Will Flash when not applied, OOC)
Renamed: +500 Attack Power (Spell), +500 Attack Power (ArS)

I. Serpent Sting (Will flash when not applied, OOC)
Renamed: Serpent Sting (Shot)

J. Auto Shot

-------------------------

-------------------------

Installation:
//REMEMBER TO BACKUP ANY FILE YOU ARE GOING TO OVERWRITE!!!!!! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS TO A SETUP OR DMG DONE.

1.) Install NeedToKnow from WoWInterface or Curse
2.) Copy the NeedToKnow.lua file you just extracted to your: <World of Warcraft Directory>/WTF/Account/ACCNAME/SERVER/CHARNAME/SavedVariables Folder
3.) Overwrite (You should backup this file before doing this) the current NeedToKnow.lua file if one exist.
4.) Open WoW and shoot a target dummy to see if everything works you can also use /ntk to see the whole setup.

-------------------------

Bugs:

None

-------------------------

Suggestions:

If you think of any buff or whatever should be added please feel free to leave a comment letting me know which one and I will try and find a place for it.

The only thing I came up with was which should prob be fixed in future releases. Bloodlust and rapidfire share the same bar so when you pop your rapid fire and shammy pops lust - your rapid fire bar gets taken over by lust and you pretty much guess when your rapid ends unless you see your buffs.

Other than that excellent addon - Thanks again for the hard work!
Hmm, The updated one I released for 4.0.1 should make it so rapid fire shows over blood lust. It should go : Rapid Fire > Bloodlust > Misdirection. But I will make sure later today though.

Could you write a simple manual how to configure it?
Thanks in forward!
I guess I can do a step by step manual going from downloading, installing and configing it... I think you just want to know how to config it ingame if so its /ntk. But just in case someone else needs to know how to install it below is a step by step process.

1.) Go here : NeedToKnow - Updated and download that addon.

2.) Extract and Install it like you would any other addon (If you need me to clarify this more let me know)

3.) Now Download my file.

4.) Extract it but don't try and install it like any other addon its not an addon its a config file. When you extract it you will have 3 files a Read_Me.txt, Info.txt and NeedToKnow.lua file.

5.) Select the NeedToKnow.lua file right click and select cut

6.) Browse to your WoW Folder (example: C:\World of Warcraft)

7.) Follow the following Folder path to get to the Proper area to put the file: WTF ---> Account ---> Your Account Name ----> Your servers name ----> Your Characters name -----> SavedVariables (Make sure your inside the SavedVariables folder)

8.) Paste the NeedToKnow.lua file into this folder, If it asks you if you want to overwrite the previous NeedToKnow.lua file you should but feel free to back it up first just in case you don't like the setup.

9.) Open WoW and login.

10.) Select the addons button on your character selection screen and make sure NeedToKnow is checked.

11.) Select your Character and play

12.) Type /ntk in the ingame chat and move the bars where you want them if they are not properly placed already.

The .lua file should already have all the buffs and procs setup only thing you should need to worry about is placement. If you installed my file correctly when you do /ntk ingame it should pop up like the MM setup image on the addon page.

If /ntk don't do anything you installed the NeedToKnow addon wrong. If it does work and an one empty bar pops up you installed my file wrong or I overlooked something.

If you want to add more bars or whatever I recommend heading over the the NeedToKnow download page and reading up there on how to do that.

OMG you rock

I recently reset my needtoknow add on and while looking up the buffs(again) i stumbled across this. It is owns the set up i had and works fine with my current UI. Follow the steps and presto. If you've never used this add on prepare to see a huge increase in dps. Thanks for taking the time to upload this for us lazy ass MM huntards.
