Great News! I got in contact with the original developer of SpartanUI! He plans on coming back eventually, but in the mean time I'll be able to continue development on the official addon. Pretty soon we'll be migrating this page to the official SpartanUI page!
Hello Everyone,

I'm Vaebris of Ars Discordia on DoomHammer-US. I'm the new maintainer of this addon and I'm looking forward to keeping this great addon alive and well! They are in the zip file, but not in the github repo.
Bartender4 which provides the action bars used in this suite. Positioning is pre-configured for you, although you may still tweak the positioning by switching profiles in Bartender4. You may disable Bartender4 and use another action bar addon if you so desire, however you MUST use something, as SpartanUI disables the default MainMenuBar.

oUF provides the base code used in SpartanUI_PlayerFrames and SpartanUI_PartyFrames. In order for them to operate you must also have oUF enabled. If you do not use them you may disable oUF. Additional oUF plugins are available, but may not be supported by the developers of SpartanUI, so use them at your own risk.
SpartanUI Credits
I take no credit for the code that was wrote prior to me taking over this project (Originally a fan update). The original authors of SpartanUI were Beladona and Ansu. The project was then picked up in the form of a fan update by Zilver and continued in private by Baine when Zilver stopped playing WoW.

I've tried to get into contact with the original authors of SpartanUI, but have failed. However, I will continue to try.

The support forums are down, the website is only semi-functional, and their repo hasn't had a commit in over 2 years. A lot of patches have come and gone,and no word from the SpartanUI dev since around "Feb 27, 2010". Myself and many others consider this a dead project. The addon authors haven't logged into wowinterface (or anywhere else I can find) in a long long time. That is the reason why I'm dropping FanUpdate from the name. That's one of the beauties of open source software. If the original authors no longer want to continue with a piece of software someone else can pick it up.

If the original authors want me to stop this project all they have to do is ask. I'd be happy if they come back.

Can you please tell me how you got that double map on the left of the screen? And also where did you get the texture for the Titan Panel.

Question about SpartianUI

hi, im wondering if you will be developing spartian UI for when Mist of the Pandarian comes out. currently im using the fam update that is up on the site, and having 0 issues, however in the beta there is no addons yet. and idk what i would do if this addon wasn't continued into the new expansion.

i absolutely love the addon

i wish all of you who work on it good luck and thanks

I don't mind it there and I don't want it higher because I have put my eclipse bar just above the minimap.

line 31 needs to be changed to:

Just change those two numbers until the world map button is exactly where you want it. I alt tab to the file, change the numbers, save the file go back to the game and /reload. I will look around to see if I can figure out where the calendar and mail icon position points are.

Alternatively, the addon SexyMap can move all those icons for you with ease.

About the, oh so annoying, Integrated coordinates and zone information

Is there any way to remove these?
Cause, personally they're making me flip out on my UI and they're quite annoying.

And I've looked through several pages of comments but I haven't noticed anything I'm looking for.

World Map Button Icon

There seems to be a graphical issue with the world map button icon on the mini map it's just above and cut off by the calendar button. I haven't experienced this problem but you should be able to right click the general tab on the chat box and select "unlock window", then you should be able to move the chat box anywhere you like it. Shouldn't be necessary in your case, but I use an addon called CTMod to give me a little more control over the chat box. http://ctmod.net/

Chat box out of place

I downloaded SUI and installed it, but when I logged on my chat box was behind my action bars. It's still like that even after I uninstall and go back to the default blizz UI. I've tried turning off all addons except ouF, SpartanUI, and bartender but that doesn't work. I play on a 1366x768 res screen (laptop), please somebody respond to this ASAP, makes it very frustrating to try and play.

Eyefinity Scale/Size

I have resolution 4536x900 Eyefinity. I just came back to Wow after putting it down for a while and noticed I was getting a Spartan error on character login. I was running SpartanUI-263-RC5.4 (I think this was a special version Zilver made for us Eyefinity people). I updated to SpartanUI-2.6.3-Beta and the error on character login went away. However my screen was huge and there was a huge black space on either side. To get things back to normal, in the old version from AddOns\SpartanUI\scripts I copied Global-Framework.lua and Global-Framework.xml and replaced the new versions of the file in the relative folder. I have provided these files at http://www.zomarweb.com/wowfiles/Global-Framework.zip
I never took the time to see what the difference is in the files, it works so I am happy.

A few other things I do to get things my way, I delete two images baseleft2.tga and baseright2.tga in AddOns\SpartanUI\media. Then in the game under options advanced I activate the UI scale/slider to 1.0 and then type without quotes "/sui scale 0.8"

I hope this helps someone else.

Edit:
After some more messing around it seems it is not necessary to replace the Global-Framework.xml file, only the Global-Framework.lua file needs to be changed.

I would like to add my voice to those who are asking for a Options/config UI window tied to the game addons tab.
I'm currently working on a config UI it's almost done I hope minus testing but I have to window coming up I'm just working on a modular way to populate options based on the SUI optional sections being loaded or not.

once I'm done with this I might take on a full rewrite of things since they are kinda a mess in there at which point I may be open to new layout graphics wise so that I can set it up as a new project since this one kinda has been butchered and can not be added to curses as it stands sadly. Right now it's just a thought though first thing is to finish up what I'm currently working on.

Don't know, one of the last posts by Vaebris was that he was sick and we have not heard from him since, hope is is ok.

TheSin seems to be the only one doing any kind of work on this addon but Vaebris is the one with the keys.

Look like he is just using maxres, try typing /sui maxres to set it back to default or /sui scale and customize it how you want, default is 1.0 mine is set to 0.86 for example.
