Just a note, that due to the way Vista/Seven elevate privileges for full-screen applications,
there's good chances you will not manage to get the video play "through" even if you have setup WoWVid r,g,b properly for your media player when WoW is in true full-screen. There's 2 ways around that: 1. Right click your media player shortcut and select "run as administrator". 2. Go into WoW Video options and select "Windowed(Fullscreen)"

This addon will work with any media player that supports "overlay mode". What this addon does is it takes advantage of how video is rendered by most media players.
Heres a little tip on how to get the correct color. Make sure whatever player you want to use (KMPlayer, VLC, GOM, whatever) is running in an overlay mode. Then while playing media in it use printscreen. Paste your printscreen in a program like paint. You should not see a still of your media but just a blank box. Use the color finder to match your blank box to an RGB value. Thats the color you want the WoWVid addon to be running in. Now you should place the media player to be where you want it run when you have the game running. Open your WoW client and set the RGB value you found above in the addon. Now you can drag around the box to where you place the media player in the background. You should now see your media =) |

Yes! Now I can watch South Park while I grind Kurenai/whatever reps ;D
Thank you thank you! PS: I remember once though that someone found out a way to play a video right in WoW (this one appears to be making a 'peephole' to the window behind). Is that still possible, to play a video natively in WoW itself? Edit to P3lim: Wouldn't the window just go back behind if you try to interact in the WoW window? Because that's what happens to mine.
