BobUI Classic (v6.1 beta2.1)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.1.0b2.1
by: 10leej [More]

BobUI is a Default UI modification/replacement/enhancement (call it what you want it really is just a skinned default UI) addon written and intended to be efficient and bug free while still retaining the functionalities of a fully usable UI. To break it down that means BobUI is the default user interface that's been modified to look better while being extremely flexible (practically every part of this UI can be modified in some way).

Addons:
!Beautycase --Link is to NeavUI download as that contains latest version
BobUI --Core UI addon
Click Menu
oUF -Tukz modified version
oUF_Bob

Installing BobUI:
Backup your "Interface" folder. Then place all the files included in the download in your "Interface" folder. Some aspects may be out of place and requires moving but should work fairly well on any screen resolution.

Non-wide screen resolutions will have to move stuff, I suggest either disabling panels/or just moving everything around to suit your needs. Keep in mind BobUI is built to be flexible and is easily one of the most flexible UI's out there.

For the exact setup in the screenshots I use.
  1. Make a New chat frame call it "G,S,W"
  2. type "/uisetup" this command auto sets the chat windows position and channel.
Bear in mind /uisetup only adjust the first two chat windows (skipping combat log)

Configuring BobUI:
BobUI is built to be flexible, aka I put in as many config options as I find I can implement.

Thus as I'm always find new ways to allow you guys to tinker with the config I have no plans for in game configuration in my own core addons (the ones with Bob in the name generally) and all config is done via the config.lua files listed in each addon.

However if there is a config question merely ask and I'll do my best to tell you how it can be done.
Incompatible addons:
Anything that modifies the default user interface's Actionbars/Unitframes/Clock/Minimap/Loot Frames
Certain parts of MoveAnything

Should I update for Wrath? The debate begins as I once again began playing the game.

Digging into a retail port, seems simple enough but I'm probably gonna start separate pages for Classic and Retail, this is largely because I'm too lazy to really learn the wowinterface API and kinda wish they'd just make a nice GUI option, but whatever I guess.

- Already got the unitframes working, just need to add class features and not have them be a hack solution
- BobUI itself needs some adjustments, should be pretty quick to setup.
- Click Menu is as easy as a simple version rollback, I'll catch it up though in the version numbers.

Open you addons folder go into BobUI open config.lua with a text editor (microsoft notepad, or notepad++ and such)
scroll down line 219 the bottom bars are Bars 1, 2, and 3

the top of the config file actually tells you a little of how to config it. Here's a github link to what the file looks like

I would adjust the size or the margin to get the buttons to fit properly.
Perfect! I was looking in the wrong lua file it seems Changed the actionbar size from 36 -> 38.5 and it fits perfectly. Thanks for the help!

Very clean UI. Thanks for sharing it
Thank you, this has been a labor of love since Cataclysm

So unlock the chat frame type it in. It's really not a required thing to be honest though.

I'm getting the panels around chat, the map modifacations and the action bars, those all seem to be laoding. My portrait/health/mana bars aren't showing anywhere.
My targets frames are showing i showing as the default.

Any idea what might be going wrong?
Sounds like oUF is having an issue or not loading altogether on that character. Curious what class it is.
Its a mage, disabling oUF does return the frame.
So looks like there's an issue with oUF itself then I'll have to investigate it.

and ChatFrame1 keeps resetting to it's initial position atm
/uisetup -> frames in place -> 1-2s pass -> ChatFrame3 in place, ChatFrame1 in default position
I mostly just use the tracker Questie provides so it's kind of an after thought really. It's not getting in the way of anything is it? Not really able to check at this moment.
half blocks the bag bar below the minimap
Yeah I noticed that, I'll have to see how Blizz is hooking the Objective Frame nowadays (also they apparently call it the QuestTrackingFrame in classic).
An easy fix is to just enable fading on the bag bar since I don't believe you can actually interact with the frame itself with your mouse. But I did move the bag bar in the most recent update since it blocks the Quest timer, as well as the Durability frame (though I could move those too, but moving the bag bar is an easier "less tainty" solution).
