===

Changes in 1.16.0
  • Fixed flaw in mana detecting logic introduced by the addition of the Death Knight class to WoW. Refactored the mana
detection function ASO_IsPlayerManaClass() so that ASO will not break again if another new mana using class is added.
  • Added launching of ASO's configuration window via the Blizzard Interface/AddOns window/tab.
  • Minor cosmetic changes.
  • Updated interface number.

Changes in 1.15.8
  • Removed Ctrl-Click functionality to auto-target person typing in chat window, since it is no longer supported by WoW.
  • Updated interface number to (20003).

Changes in 1.15.7
  • Um, yeah, um, version 1.15.7, its, um, here somewhere. <searches pockets>

Changes in 1.15.6
  • Updated interface number for v1.9.2 (4996) of WoW.

Changes in 1.15.5
  • Bug fix so that AutoShoutOut will write out its settings information.
  • Updated interface number for v1.7 of WoW.

Changes in 1.15.4
  • Fix for bug introduced in v1.14.1, where if you are in a raid, and you try and notify via messaging to the 'PARTY' channel, you will not get the "ASO: Notify via Messaging-Target: Character is NOT in a party/raid" message.

Changes in 1.15.3
  • Fixed ctrl-left-click on chat name link functionality, which was broke with v1.6 of WoW client. Note that, as of WoW v1.6, the selecting of a pet (by clicking on the player's name link twice) will no longer work (because of a deprecated function call). Will try to make this work again in a future release of ASO.
  • Updated interface number for v1.6 of WoW.
  • AutoShoutOut will not check for the loss of a 'Soulstone Resurrection' buff (the 'soulstone' event) until the buff has been applied. This should stop the 'false positive' notifications players get when forgetting to turn off notification after a buff has worn off from their previous WoW session.
  • Made window width a little wider, so that no text runs off the right side of the window.
  • Added a comment in the combat channel status output text that reminds people that they can use the '/aso status' command if they do not want to see any ASO status messages.

Changes in 1.15.2
  • Added a settings that determines if AutoShoutOut should display warning messages when certain conditions occur. For example, if a 'Soulstone Resurrection' buff is put on the player, but the 'Soulstone' notification is not active, a warning message is displayed. The default is set to on (true). Use the "/aso warnings" command to switch back and forth between on and off (true/false).!
  • Updated French translations. Thank you Methos (http://forums.curse-gaming.com/member.php?u=11256)!

Changes in 1.15.1
  • Updated German translations. Thank you Drazul (http://forums.curse-gaming.com/member.php?u=6717)!
  • Resized width of settings window because of updatiang of German translations.
  • Moved the anchor point for the close button tooltip to right, from left.

Changes in 1.15.0
  • Added "Soulstone" event type. ASO will look to see if the player has a 'Soulstone Resurrection' buff on them (a.k.a. a 'Res Stone'). If they do NOT, then ASO will do its notification. If the 'Soulstone Resurrection' buff is applied to a player who does not have the "Soulstone" event notification turned on, ASO will warn the player of that fact.
  • AutoShoutOut settings window is now dragable.
  • Changed maximum notify frequency value from 60 to 999 seconds (little over 15 minutes).
  • Added tooltips to the vast majority of the UI controls.
  • Fixed bug when registering for event "PLAYER_AURAS_CHANGED" (typo in event name being registered).
  • Modified assignment of default values (first time person runs ASO or after a "/aso reset" command) so that the default message targets make sense, for the configuration (Solo/Party/Raid). Solo configuration gets LOCAL as target, party configuration gets PARTY as a target, and raid configuration gets RAID as a target.
  • Added unregistering for events notification, when the user does a "/aso off" command.
  • Cosmetic UI change for German localization.
  • Updated README with additional information concerning 'Notification Frequency'.

NOTE! French/German translations are needed. Any French/German users who wish to help, please contact me. Your help will be appreciated by all other AutoShoutOut users in your community.

Therefore, I'd like to as if you would consider permitting WoWMatrix to auto-update your addon (as Curse/WoWInterface disabled their ability to do so - on patch day, no less). There is a page that might assist when considering this request, which deals with public liscensing (among other things): http://*******************/faq/site-updates.html

Thank you for your time, please keep up the good work!

Edit: Lol! They even set it to strip the address out of posts!

Er, I'm kind of leary of doing this, because of the reputation automated updaters have for transmitting virus'.

I went to the web site and read the page. I wasn't exactly happy to see a standard web text submittal page for adding my add-on to their web site/product. I prefer a real login/account setup that WoW Interface and Curse supplies, so that I can better control how my add-on is distributed and how I would be able to offer technical support the people who use the product.

I'm all for automation, but I'm not feeling warm and fuzzy about wowmatrix right now.

Convince me otherwise?

Hello! I was shocked to see your post here! I've been checking for so long, and didn't see any posts from people with suggestions/bug reports, that I kind of gave up even looking. Glad I came by.

I have a 71 DK, I'll fix the problem and put out a new version. ASO was written before DKs were a gleam in Blizzard's eyes.

There are settings that can disable messages on a per character basis; use /aso to access the conrols and have a look through them. It works for my DK, anyway.

You live in a very Black and White world (vs. a Shades of Gray one) don't you? Everybody who would use an add-on like this are those who irrationally yell at you for heals in every instance. It can never be someone who wants the priest to know when their HP is about to hit 0%, or the caster (especially healer) who wants the party to know that he/she is /OOM, or the mage who pulled aggro by accident and needs the tank to pull it back off of them.

Don't take it so personally when someone asks you to heal them, as long as they are doing it when they are REALLY in trouble, ano not just scared that you are not paying attention to them.

Unless you suck of course. Then you shouldn't take it personally either, because you suck.

VERY irritating... you think I'm not concentrating on healing?

popping something up in chat takes my attention away from what I'm doing, thus, someone dies.

anyways... thats my 2 cents.
Sorry for the late reply, but I just saw this post.

As someone who plays a priest since GA, I'm aware of how it feels when the DPS is screaming for you to heal them whenever they get scared of dying. Yes, that is annoying.

The weird thing is I never had a problem with teammates asking for a heal if they are in trouble, if they do it responsibly. I don't take it as a personal insult to my healing abilities when they do so. Its just one more input of information for me to process, as health bars are another. Sometimes I may miss someone who is about to die, so when they let me know, its a good thing.

If you don't like add-ons like these, don't use them. /shrug

damn, shroomie you're right.

Can you make this addon to reply with what Shroomie said every time some auto-sends "heal me"?
