FinderReminder Reminding a rogue to turn his Find Minerals back on.
FinderReminder
FinderReminder: An addon to remind finders to track the things they wish to find.
FinderRemind is an Ace Addon that reminds the user at the usual times when a tracking skill would be turned off (like after you resurrect) to turn a tracking skill back on. It presents a window with all your tracking abilities that you can click on to activate. If you're thinking "that would get real annoying in a battleground," then don't fret! FinderReminder has an option to turn off reminders while in a battleground.
FinderReminder is not just for hunters! In fact, it was written to remind herbalists and miners to not forget, but was expanded to work for hunters and other classes or races that have tracking abilities.
Big thanks to Cair for helping me test this with a hunter since I don't have one.

Optional Files - FinderReminder
Sorry, there are currently no optional files available.
Originally posted by tardmrr Yes, that's exactly the problem (well, it's a frameLevel issue not frame strata, but close enough), and it's been fixed on my end for a while (sorry!), but I haven't updated because it's been pretty busy. Also, I'm in the process of rewriting it for TBC.
Ah, cool. I don't suppose you could just post a quick-fix here, ie: what to change in which file? No need for newbie tutorials (Open Start, Click All Programs, ... lol).
Originally posted by brknsoul I'm still getting the problem where the dialog shows up after I rez, but none of the buttons are clickable. I'm using plain English WoW, on the US servers.
Prehaps a Frama Strata problem, where the dialog box is appearing in front of the buttons?
If you have a conditional that makes the buttons unclickable, you could remove it, since we can change tracking skills, etc in combat.

Originally posted by brknsoul Any chance of embedding ACE2, like SCT and SCTD?
Yes, it's on my todo list; I just haven't gotten around to it. I'm currently testing a fix for the unclickable button issue which is proving to be a pain since I've never seen the issue personally and must rely on user reports. Once I have that done, I'll convert to Ace2.

Originally posted by docthis I'm a herbalist and FinderReminder contains just one button for me, 'Find Herbs'. Some times, however, mostly when in an instance, the dialog appears when I'm resurrested, but the button is 'disabled'. I can't click on it. All I can do is close the dialog and cast 'Find Herbs' manually. I went through the code, but I can't locate the source of the problem. I guess you know it better than me, so I report it here.
I have HideInBGs enabled.

Originally posted by tardmrr I've had a few others report this, but I've never been able to reproduce it. If I had to guess, though, I'd bet it was an incompatibility with something else.

Originally posted by M-A-X I really like this addon, but something like a "prio1" tracking skill that autocasts after ressurect would rock ;-) any chance that this will be implemented? (was thinking of f.e. my hunter in WSG: every ress i need to enable track humanoids)
