Ever wish you could jot down important notes about an item somewhere handy? Well what better place than on the item! Engravings allows you to attach any text you want to an item's tooltip.

Engravings now includes a comprehensive listing of boss drops, PvP gear, and token rewards. More data is planned.

To add a note to an item: /engrave [item link] This is a handy item
To erase a note: /engrave [item link]

I'm still using TooltipsComplete from the now-defunct Cosmos package, but have been looking around for a replacement since one of these days there will be a WoW patch that will break it enough that I won't be able to fix it. The main thing I use TooltipsComplete to do is to create small notes for the tooltips of NPCs, players, and other targetable game objects. Might it be possible to add that feature to Engravings?

I have 2 equipsets made with the BliizzEquipManager and when I moused over stuff in my bags would say Part of set "Frost" or Part of set "Heal". It doesn't do this anymore. It was useful for me not to accidentally sell or DE something that was part of another set for my other spec. I hope this ability is returned or fixed. Another useful purpose for this mod is to label keys, sometimes I can't remember what key opens what dungeon, etc. Thanks a million! Oh, also how about an option to hide certain parts of data included in the tooltip rather than having to delete some files as poster below states.
