Recipe Radar
Recipe Radar assists players in finding recipes. It knows about vendors who sell recipes in the current region or by profession. It has a number of filtering options and can even locate vendors on the world map.
Tips:
There are two "tabs": the main "radar" tab and one that searches by profession!
You can bind a key to Recipe Radar through the main menu!

Optional Files - Recipe Radar
Sorry, there are currently no optional files available.
Hi, great addon this is. I already found a bunch of recipes on vendors I passed by every day
But I noticed a small issue on one of my characters I get enchanting recipes, but her professions are skinning, herbalism, first aid and fishing. The options are set to only show recepies relevant for this character.
I noticed it when walking around in Borean Tundra.
I was not sure if I should post it here or on the SourceForge forums, lemme know it is better to post there.
Thanks for all of the kind comments since my last post - it helps a great deal!
Note that the German version should, I hope, work as of 1.29 (which I just uploaded).
And thanks for the error reports. I haven't checked into FrameXML.log too seriously. Unfortunately I suspect there is a great deal of outdated code in RR as it's been around for a while and I don't keep up with the API changes unless it's necessary. I'll take a look at the stuff you mentioned though!
This is a pretty neat idea for an addon. I use it with Skillet and Ackis Recipe List. I wanted to report some bugs/errors in the hopes that future versions can be improved.
FrameXML.log shows:
Code:
++ Loading file Interface\AddOns\RecipeRadar\AvailabilityTooltip.xml
Frame RecipeRadarAvailabilityTooltip: Unknown script element OnTooltipSetDefaultAnchor
Frame RecipeRadarAvailabilityTooltip: Unknown script element OnTooltipAddMoney
Frame RecipeRadarAvailabilityTooltip: Unknown script element OnTooltipCleared
And a recipe, vendor, and map issue:
NPC Thaddeus Webb is shown on the RecipeRadar map in the north-central section of Undercity. However, he's found in the opposite quadrant, south-central. He's shown as having a recipe my character may learn, however he does not have this recipe Enchant Chest - Minor Mana. For reference, Ackis Recipe List indicates this recipe is a World Drop, though I cannot readily confirm if that is true.
Finally, I've found that if you've learned a recipe, RecipeRadar doesn't know this - or doesn't know about it in the cases I'm aware of. The result is that the RecipeRadar may indicate in it's tooltips and recipe list that there is a recipe available to be learned, when the recipe is already known to the character.
I really like the concept for this addon, as I'd mentioned. I do hope development may continue on it to see it enhanced and improved. Thanks!
I'd like to thank you wholeheartedly for this update.
However, not everything is good in this world, and it seems that RecipeRadar missing recipes from Sporeggar vendor in Zangarmarsh. Spoted it on Pattern: Mycah's Botanical Bag, and I think it's not only one, because I haven't saw this vendor in list at all.

I'm sure I speak for many of us, thank you so much for working on it.
Your mod is one of the very few that is unique and can't be replaced by another. It is good that you had time to fix it and getting it working right again.

With 3.0, Blizzard changed the way buttons work with fonts. This was a bit of a problem for Recipe Radar as I use lots of buttons with special font handling code. Yor handled this by commenting out several lines - Recipe Radar worked this way, but it lost some of its color handling. I chose to work out the full fix, and I think it finally does work as it used to, including the different colors.
I've also updated the Recipe Radar database with the latest info I could find. This includes a few new old-world recipes and many new WotLK recipes. I also added support for Inscription, though no recipes exist yet for that profession as far as I'm aware. I'll be leveling along with everyone else when the expansion hits, so you should be able to safely look forward to some updates as more recipe information hits the WoW data sites. (Notably missing at the moment are faction vendors, so look for that soon.)
I need to thank you all for your patience and, again, the overwhelming encouragement. Hopefully I can keep up with Blizzard a bit better in the future..!
