AlphaMap Compatible
Burning Crusade Maps
Unexplored Zone using MFWM Normal View Mode (AlphaMap)
MozzFullWorldMap (Fan's Update)
Current Version
---------------
MozzFullWorldMap (Fan's Update) v3.34.30000
WotLK Ready !
General Description
-------------------
Show Unexplored Areas on the WorldMap, and now also on AlphaMap (Fan's Update)
MozzFullWorldMap is simple: it adds a new checkbox in the upper left of the world map named 'Show Unexplored Areas'. Checking it will do just that.
Key binding available for users of AlphaMap / Cartographer / MetaMap
(NOTE : The key binding is disabled while the WorldMap is open - unless the World Map has been modified by another AddOn such as AlphaMap)
The default settings mean that unexplored areas appear with a blue/green tinge. I believe this setting is the most useful as it means that you can see all the details of the map, while still being able to identify which areas you have not yet explored.
You can change the behaviour of the AddOn via the Slash commands detailed below, and remove the blue tinge completely, leaving you with a standard view of each map as though you had already explored every area
This AddOn is compatible with :
WorldMapFrame,
Battlefield Minimap,
AlphaMap,
MetaMap (you should disable MetaMapFWM if using this AddOn)
Cartographer (you should disable Foglight if using this AddOn)
This AddOn adds a 'Show Unexplored Areas' checkbox to your world map.
Uses a hardcoded set of overlay data which duplicates data available in the client. Since it
also queries the client to find out which overlays should be 100%, it will detect discrepancies
in the client data and record any mismatched or not-present data in a saved Errata table.
Original by Mozz, updated by Shub, and currently kept alive by Telic.
Slash Commands
--------------
/mfwm -- displays help
/mfwm blue -- shows unexplored areas in blue
/mfwm normal -- shows unexplored areas in the normal color
/mfwm trans [0.0 - 1.0] -- change transparency (0.0 = invisible)
/mfwm rainbow -- choose your own colour/transparency from the Colour Picker Frame

Optional Files - MozzFullWorldMap (Fan's Update)
Sorry, there are currently no optional files available.
sadly my computer has died, so I won't be able to release any fixes or updates any time soon.
There are new versions of MapNotes (Fan's Update) and AlphaMap (Fan's Update) on the SVN at WoWInterface.com but I can't access or promote them myself. I have asked a couple of site administrators there if they can help so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
The AlphaMap update includes all the WotLK Instance maps, plus new dungeon location markers on the world maps and the ability to zoom between them via Alt-Clicking.
The MapNotes update includes a fix for users of legacy slash commands plus a data fix for affected notes :
If they have not been updated, please feel free to post a comment asking the site to help release them
Or add a forum post maybe
It could take some weeks for insurance to come through before I can get a new PC, so this is the ONLY route to getting the latest updates any time soon.

No problem. There are several mods that allow note creation on the WorldMap including CTMapMod, MetaMap, Carto. Many of which also offer gatherer style info...
However, I recommend Gatherer because I think its the best one
Its dedicated to Gathering node information, and now comes with a pre-built database, and some features its difficult to find anywhere else.
I recommend MapNotes (Fan's Update), partly because I'm in charge of developing it now , and partly because I think it has some killer features, especially for someone like you who has AlphaMap installed.
For example, "MapNotes (Fan's Update)" will allow creation of MapNotes, not just on the WorldMap, but will work with AlphaMap also - so if you use AlphaMap, then you don't actually need to open the WorldMap to create/edit/delete MapNotes - just do it from AlphaMap.
Also, "MapNotes (Fan's Update)" allows you to create Notes on Instance maps in Atlas, and/or AlphaMap's Instance maps...
Go to the downloads section and get both :
Gatherer-3.0.4.zip
GathererDB_Wowhead-1.0.2008-02-07.zip
First, thanks for the super timely response. I was reading your reply, and I was about to run upstairs to my roommate's computer to take a screenshot to post, when an idea hit me. I checked his addons, and noticed that somehow in reloading my interface, I'd forgotten to add CT MapMod again. I'm not sure how you feel about recommending other addons or whatnot, but it allows more or less the same thing, with the added auto-noting of nodes and whatnot that Gatherer does. I downloaded MapNotes before I wrote the first comment, and started using it, and I noticed that it does several things that CT MapMod does not, mainly the auto-marking of landmarks and the customization. I guess it depends on what you're looking for, but if you hadn't known about it before, it's another option

I ended up completely redoing my UI, and now something's up with my addon. Maybe I'm crazy, but I seem to remember it having a mapnote function, where you could Alt-Click or Ctrl-Click to on the map, to add a note, and if you harvested a node somewhere, the node showed up on the map as well. I don't have this anymore, all I have is the show unexplored areas, which is nice but yeah...
Thanks in advance for the help
OK,
"MFWM (Fan's Update)" only shows unexplored areas.
If you want to make your own notes by <Control>-Clicking on the map, then you need "MapNotes (Fan's Update)"
