Description:

MSBT is designed to be an extremely lightweight, efficient, and highly configurable mod that makes it easier to see combat information by scrolling the information on the screen in separate, dynamically creatable scroll areas. It is a replacement for Blizzard's Floating Combat Text and Damage output.


Features:
  • Lightweight and efficient design.
  • Scroll incoming damage/heals, outgoing damage/heals, and notifications in separate configurable scroll areas on the playing field.
  • Display player and pet cooldown completion alerts.
  • Display loot alerts with a total of how many are now in inventory.
  • Add triggers that will allow you to show notifications based on a variety of conditions.
  • Assign a sound file to play for events/triggers.
  • Dynamically create new scroll areas and assign any event/trigger to them.
  • Customize the position, size, animation style, enabled state, font style, font size, font outline, and opacity for each of the scroll areas.
  • Customize each individual event's color, font style, font size, font outline, opacity, output message, enabled state, and scroll area.
  • Set "Master Font" settings that will be inherited by all of the scroll areas and the events in them unless they are overridden at the scroll area or event level.
  • Merge AoE data into one event with cumulative damage/healing done with number of normal and crits specified.
  • Show overhealing amounts against yourself or party/raid members.
  • Color unit names according to their class (including CUSTOM_CLASS_COLORS support).
  • Color damage amounts according to damage type.
  • Show partial effects (resists, absorbs, vulnerabilities, etc) colored according to type.
  • Filter output information with a full suite of spam controls.
  • Load on demand options.
  • For mod developers:
    • Output your own scrolling messages with the MikSBT.DisplayMessage function instead of having to create your own frame and animation code. You can also use your own font by first registering it with MSBT via the MikSBT.RegisterFont function.

Hope either the author comes back or someone contributes a fix for this to work in WoD. Absorbs don't seem to be treating this addon well, at least in all the community supplied 'hack fixes' I've used.

Having the same problem, when first launching and logging in, msbt reverts to porky. I open the config menu and it shows that I have the correct fonts selected to be default. After a /rl the fonts change to my chosen font file (all good).
but man it sucks having to /rl every single time I log on. any ideas what could be causing it?

Hello, i have a problem with fonts from my fontpack in MSBT.

My addon be registered its fonts with the event ADDON_LOADED. The addon needs this time to wait on its saved variables. (HzFontPack on Curse/Curseforge)

Yes, msbt register a callback function for later registed fonts and my fonts are listed correct in configuration panel. do you have an idea?

Pet killing blow

Hi,

I noticed a little problem with the Killing Blow event.

It works perfectly fine when i finish a target, however when my pet kill my target it doesn't count as a killing blow and show nothing.

I tried everything with the trigger option to fix that problem but it seems like a scripting problem.

Any help ?

MSBT not replacing Blizz text

So I'm having the issue that MSBT isn't actually replacing the standard Blizz text, it just adds all the text an extra time, so I get the same text in MSBT as with the normal Blizz text. Anyone else having this issue, or know a fix?

absorbs and shields?

Hello everyone, I really like this addon and have been using it for years now.

I've played a disc priest now and would like to know if there's a way to configure this addon to display shields and absorbs (such as Power Word: Shields, Divine Aegis, Blood Shield, etc.) if there's an option for them. Googling did not help much.

AoE lag

I've used MSBT for years and it runs flawlessly for me (barring minor hiccups here and there with patch updates that are normal).

However, there's one problem that I've always had and it's bugged me forever. When doing massive AoE pulls, any type of bombing runs where you hit multiple mobs (Vashj'ir seahorse, Klaxxai bomb runs, etc.) it freeze/stutters trying to calculate and merge all the data. I've tested it via running MSBT with Recount/Skada, running MSBT by itself, and with several other addons. The only time this doesn't occur is when I disable MSBT and do the bombing runs.

Is there some way or setting I've not seen that can help alleviate this stuttering?

I can confirm the issue. This seems to only happen when trying to use fonts provided by other addons through the LibSharedMedia library.
