Extended Ignore frame with timestamps and reasons
IgnoreMore   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
IgnoreMore will:
  • Let you ignore more than 49 players
  • Share the same ignore list between all players on the same realm (and faction).
  • See when someone was ignored
  • Give a reason for why the person is ignored
  • NOT respond with "X is ignoring you" (unless the person was initially added to the system Ignore list before IgnoreMore was installed)

The "/ignore" command is also extended with a second parameter giving a reason directly, e.g. "/ignore Mikk : loudmouthed guy". You can also double-click lines in your ignore list to edit these comments.

Latest release: 1.1.0
- WoW 3.2 compatible
- Now traps invites from ignored people. The first time in a session, a notice is shown, along with why you ignored the person.

Hello Mikk,
I've used a 'hack' before, which told my ignored people, that they are ignored. At least on the first whisper while being logged in. Guess it got overridden some day.
What do you think of this function? Is there a possibility to see this feature within your original addon, without having to temper with it?

Because "Playername-Realm Name With Spaces" has spaces in it.

It used to be just space separated but yeah.. doesn't really work with all the crossrealm stuff these days..

I downloaded the version here and it's working like a charm for me. oO

Unfortunately, when 3.3 dropped, your most recent version stopped working, (have DL'd and tried multiple times, still no dice) and, to make matters worse, think there's actually some form of artifact remaining somehow, (blew away addon, etc, folders, so don't know how) that's keeping me from being able to even use the regular in-game ignore functionality, (keep getting "cannot ignore any more characters" even though my ignore list is empty).

Any word on when you're planning to have a 3.3 compatible update? In the interim, if there's something that I need to set / reset to be able to use the regular ignore mechanism, would very much appreciate!

Thanks again for all your hard work!

Is it possible to change this option on/off?
People who whisper me should know that i am ignoring them and n1 would be if they could read my Ignore-Reason, too.

like:
Ironist is ignoring you. <TEXT>

It could be a whisper, of course.
That would be a great feature any plans of adding something like this?

It uses IgnoreMore's internal lists only. And I've been debating how to handle this... Possibly by chucking ignored people into the system ignore lists temporarily once seen in the game world. This would also prevent you from seeing chat bubbles (or max 1) from ignored people.

It wouldn't prevent you from getting Dungeon Findered together the first time. But if you bail and requeue, you would be "safe".

Here's why I ask: in 3.3, those in your ignore list cannot be part of a group you end up in via the dungeon finder. I would think this would only be true if the ignored player was on blizz's ignore list, which lead to my question about when/how ignoremore uses blizz's list.

Any chance you could clear things up for me?

With the advent of patch 3.3 and the newly implemented cross-realm dungeon finder, I would think that the feature to add players from different realms than your own to the ignore list without having encountered them (known punks) would be of help.

The game doesn't let you enter the name of a player from a different realm to the ignore list, since its name is too long. When you are in the same dungeon, you still can't add by rightclick on the portrait, since there is no ignore option offered. If that person wrote something in the party chat, you can right click and select ignore and the name listed in the ignorelist gets an appendix of the realm name. But a manual addition of a player won't work for me.

/edit: thanks mikk, it works this way. I should have tried that before, but it didn't pop into mind. =)

No, there is no such feature, but I certainly plan on adding it.

I do not personally know of an addon that does this.

I'll have to disappoint you here. There's addons that do this already, so THAT functionality won't get added to IgnoreMore. (Though I've added autodecline for ignored people in the next release)
