Description:
At this point you might be asking yourself what this could be, some kind of vague reference to the greatest movie ever, Big Trouble in Little China starring Kurt Russel, well yes.

But this is also a bar that shows AimedShot and AutoShot casting, isnt that neat.
This was partially inspired by the now defunct AimedShotBar and i want to take this moment to give a big thx to otravi_CastingBar, a large chunk of the bar code was loaned and tweaked for my evil purposes from it.

Noteworthy stuff:
This mod does rely on the Ace2 embedable framework. Ace2 is the next generation of the Ace line, and does not require an external Ace2 addon as a dependency.

Command List:
Now, i wanted to make this one both slice and dice but in the beginnning i settled for just one commandline options. Now tho there are a myriad of options to tweak the look of the bar.

/btrouble -- Gives you a list of available options.

* Fixed aimed shot for the german client, thanks to Verjugorm on wowace for getting my attention on the bug and helping me debug it. Im amazed that no one else has noticed it before since it basically renders the aimed shot time counter useless. Oh well, it should be good and fixed now.

There is a stupid oneline fuckup that affects locking and unlocking of the bar, it gives you an error but it can be safley ignored, i should have a fixed version out later

* There is now a toggle to turn of autoshot/aimedshot from showing as bar. Experimental and not 100% test so tread with caution. Report if youre having problems with it.

* Added option to set the delay of the aimed shot. To get the timming right for aimed shot there exists an artificial amount of time ive added to the shot time. In the past this was set to 0.35 sec, but ive now added a option to set this to youre desire, as long as youre desire is between 0 and 1 second. Note you cant set it to something like 0.356, its only accurate to 0.00 precision.

Is this mod still being maintained?

If so ... I have a request. Would it be possible to put a latency marker going back from the end of the bar? As someone with a 500ms latency, it would be helpful to see when I should start my shot rotation rather than rely on starting at the beginning of the bar.

@Blizz castbar issue: Atm there is no good fix for it, you basically have 2 options for it a) disable it altogehter, or b) live with it.

Ive thought of dynamically disabling the blizz castbar whenever i detect a aimed/steady shot, but, really, that is a hax of epic proportions and tbh i dont think it can be done in any good way.

Really, this issue is one of the main reason i developed LittleTrouble, that way you could have youre autoshot bar and at the same time have the pick of what castbar to use, blizz or otherwise.

I know this prolly isnt the answer you were looking for, but atm there isnt much that can be done about it.

two bars

Ya got the same problem as the one under me

ITs a super nice addon but that thing is just messing it up

The problem is you have both the BIg trouble bar AND the blizzard UI bar. Ofc u only want the big trouble one ... REally hope to see some fix to this soon

I really like this mod, but I have a little bit of trouble with the blizzard casting bar still being there...

Also what I was wondering is if it's possible to let the bigtrouble casting bar work for more things, summoning your mounts etc. Mostly I poke here and there to figure it out of combining 2 mods, but this is a bit too much for me to understand

I looked at OminousCastingBar when trying to combine, not sure if that helps in any way

Yeah, the logic in bigtrouble has become, well to say the least complex, so im rewriting the internals of it atm.

since a certain revision of BigTrouble, sometimes auto-shot isn't recognized correctly. before that revision it worked perfectly.
it may be because the delay for displaying the bar without constantly checking for another auto-shot is too short or too long. maybe BigTrouble should check for any new auto-shot by the player and stop the active display of the bar and create a new one for the new auto-shot, no matter an auto-shot is currently still active or not (like the way aimed shot is triggered even an active auto-shot cool-down is going).
OR reduce the virtual length/delay/cool-down of the bar to a bit below the actual auto-shot's cool-down time, so the bar would finish shortly before a new auto-shot. you could add it as an option, so a user with a higher latency connection could adjust that difference between the bar display and the actual cool-down to match the interval of the client-side auto-shot. (let's say between +0.3 and -0.3 seconds. a bit similar to "Cirk's Fastcast", but only for auto-shot and guided shot and without the automatic cancellation, so it's just a thing of displaying the bar a bit longer or shorter).
this (the bar not showing) escpecially happens (just for one auto-shot each time):
- after about 3-6 consecutive auto-shots (that's because i guess that it may have something to do with network latency)
- when aimed shot "casting" finishes and auto-shot triggers (nearly) immediately after (or with) the aimed shot
and when auto-shot is passed over, sometimes arcane shot or serpent sting are able to trigger the bar instead of auto-shot (as if once the bar is already in some 'currently active' state it didn't check what type a new shot would be, but i haven't looked it up so i'm not sure if that's BigTrouble's fault or one of WoW's general inconsistencies in LUA application.)

please let me know if any of this can be fixed somehow. BigTrouble is otherwise a lot of help for my hunter.

Lines 10 & 11 have to be:

This is something ive been thinking about myself, now with the emergence of the new event system, shots like steady and aimed will show up in oCB.

The short answer is yes, i will most likley try and build a plugin for oCB that will handle autoshot as soon as the current patch crazines has died down. And no, i wont abandon BigTrouble as a standalone. If i make the plugin i will maintain both it and BigTrouble together so you have the choise of what you wanna use.
