WIM (WoW Instant Messenger)   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) is a World of Warcraft addon which helps you to manage your whispers by making them into a classic instant messenger interface such as AIM, Yahoo and MSN.

With game play in mind, WIM has a large array of options where you can customize how WIM interacts during different situations, such as while you are in combat or in town talking to friends or selling your crafts.

Some of WIM's major features are:

I set the location for all WIM windows to open but they keep opening up a little to the right and down or whatever just not in the right spot... why is that?

When you pull up the WIM History, the scroll bar on the right, is it actually a scroll bar or just up and down arrows? If so, is there a way to page thru the log faster? Mouse wheel and clicking the arrorws are a bit slow when I have a full days worth of conversation to page thru sometimes. Possible to implement a proper scroll bar that lets you click or drag up along or?

That's another addon that has outdated chat filters implementation (pre-3.1)
which breaks WIM and probably other 3.1 addons as well.

After many activations/deactivations it seems to be an issue with spamsentry which hasn't been patched recently so nothing probably has to be updated in WIM. Prat seems to be fine with WIM as long as you update Prat to the most recent version. Thx for the quick reply.

I'm quoting this post because the other report is incredibly long and annoying. You're going to have to disable your addons except for WIM and then try to figure out which addon is conflicting but turning the others on one at a time till your get the error.

I can't be downloading every one of the addons you use and do this for you.. sorry.

I know it's a day late for the US community, but the patch came a week sooner than I had thought. Anyway, its up now.

WIM 3.1 has a new feature which everyone has been asking for for a long time now... CHAT SUPPORT. By default chat is disabled so if you want to use it, make sure you go into WIM's options (/wim) and enable what you want handled. You will also note that the options have been rearranged a little. This is because Whispers and Chat have their own option sets. For example, each have their own behavior rules, sounds, filters and history options. I tried to add as many options as I can conceive in order to have them function the way you'd want them to. Please note, although working, it is still lacking some features (such as intercept slash commands) and a few other which I did not have time to implement yet. I am expecting a lot of feedback on the chat functionality as it is new and we all know we can't please everyone in one shot.
