This addon stops goldspam messages from showing. You can use a one-click report system to create a GM-ticket for the caught spammers. Both spammers and bots can be reported manually as well.
Installation:
* Unzip the file into your 'Interface/Addons' folder.
Features:
* Detects multi-message spam
* Customizable notification
* FuBar and Titan support
* Manual reporting of players you suspect to be a goldseller / bot / violating naming rules
* Report-button in mailframe to report spam send to you by in-game mail
* Seperate reportlists are maintained for each realm you play on
* And many more
Use:
* Type /sentry for options, or right-click the minimap/fubar/titan icon
* right-click a name and select "Report spam" to manually add that player to the spamreportlist.
How to help:
This addon is as good as the feedback it gets. Please inform me when spam got through, or when a legitimate message got blocked.
* If a spam-message isn't recognised:
- Report the spammer by right-clicking the name in the chat window and selecting "Report Spam"
- Type /sentry spam feedback <name of the spammer>
- Send me a PM with the code sequence
* If you encounter a false positive:
- Click the message in SpamSentry main-window
- Send me a PM containing that message
About reporting:
GM-Tickets have been confirmed to be limited to 500 characters. To conserve precious space, reporting has been reworked to the following rules:
* A single spammer is reported with full message
* Multiple spammers will be reported as a short list, containing, name, date/time and website or partial message.
* Up to four spammers can be reported in one go. The surplus will be queued for the next ticket.
Performance notes:
* All code has been designed to minimize parsing-time, and maximize performance for raiding.
* The mod currently uses a little under 300kB memory (Patch 2.3 GetAddOnMemoryUsage()).
Known issues:
* Blizzard made an a-typical implementation for who-queries. You may notice slow response on the /who command while using this mod when the chat is crowded.
* Textballoons from says and yells are still shown. Blizzard currently provides no way to block textballoons.
* On very rare occasions an incoming message may cause an open window to move or even close.

I just downloaded your update and I thought I would like to thank you for one of the most important addon in WOW. Since day one I'm using your precious baby and it just working perfectly... so perfectly that many times I dont even reallize its working. Thus it does the job professional: Saving me from the headaches of spams and crappy messages!
Very flawless very bug-free, best (simple) features ever. I always recommend your addon to everyone because withouth this there would be spamfest for sure on my chat windows and endless annoyances that would ruin the fun completelly!
There we go; second update of the day, again with a fix in WhoLib. This should sort out the line 296-problem, and hopefully restore peace and quiet on the world of Azeroth
I am getting the same error (Args=a nil value) I'm not posting the actual error to save space. I searched my addon folder real quick to see if WhoLib was being used by another addon that had not been updated, but SpamSentry is the only addon that I use that uses WhoLib.
Haven't seen this error myself, but it looks as if it's caused by a version conflict: aka you're running an old version of WhoLib on one of your other addons. To solve it:
- Update your addons (or rather: wait for them to be updated)
- Find the copies of WhoLib and replace them with the new version
I just fixed a bug that arised with patch 2.4.2 (jay for undocumented, unannounced Blizzard changes), resulting in script errors in the included WhoLib.
Due to national holidays I haven't been near a computer for a few days.
The error you reported was caused by an invalid library reference in my code. It is fixed now, but should never have occurred in the first place. I guess I'm still a bit rusty with coding ;-)
Went on and fixed two small bugs with bot/name reporting and updated filters to properly block a new type of spammessages.
