sRaidFrames was designed to replace the raid frames provided by CT_RaidAssist. They share the same look and feel of the original frames, but are highly optimised and even include extra features such as aggro highlighting and display of PVE critical abilities.
The main goal of sRaidFrames is to be just that, frames, nothing more; they do not deliver any other magic that you might know from CT_RaidAssist. This includes Decursing, Bossmods, Raid Status and Emergency Monitor. By not including these features, sRaidFrames will allow anyone the freedom to use whatever mod, if any, they prefer to do the above tasks.
Currently the frames provide a massive improvement in not only memory, but also FPS during raids, combined with oRA2 they are designed to help anyone completely replace CT_RaidAssist.
Features
* Basically same functionality as CT_RaidAssist frames:
o Show debuffs
o Recolor background upon debuff (magic etc)
o Sort by group and class
o Supports click casting (every mod that hooked CT_RA_CustomOnClickFunction will work)
o Keybindings for toggle of sorting and visibility
o Show cooldowns in tooltips, for Rebirth, Soul Stone etc. (Requires oRA2)
o Shows who is dead with soul stone and who has been resurrected (Requires oRA2)
* About 150KiB memory usage
* Optionally Filter certain classes or groups from the frames
* Has a wide range of display options for unit health, select whichever you prefer
* Ability to change texture for Health and Mana bars
* Optionally show buffs on units, that you can cast
* Optionally show debuffs which are not dispellable (usefull for raids, when MT gets a non-dispellable debuff and you'd like to know)
* Shows when PVE critical abilities are used, such as Last Stand, Shield Wall, Innervate.. etc
* Shows amount of debuffs applied to each unit
* Optionally only show tooltips when not in combat
* Highlight units who have aggro
* Range check - dim units that are out of range
I do most of my raiding as a healer and somehow only have 4 groups instead of 5 for 25 man raids. I have looked around in the options and cant seem to find how to show the rest of the groups. Any ideas?
function sRaidFrames:chatSetPosition(layout)
self:PositionLayout(layout, self.groupframes[1]:GetLeft(), self.groupframes[1]:GetTop()-UIParent:GetEffectiveScale()/self.master:GetEffectiveScale()*UIParent:GetTop())
end
instead of
Code:
function sRaidFrames:chatSetPosition(layout)
self:PositionLayout(layout, self.groupframes[1]:GetLeft(), self.groupframes[1]:GetTop()-UIParent:GetTop())
end
For some reason, self.master doesn't return a GetTop even if it has an effective scale. The group frames inherit master, so the scale is incorrect (for master scale of less than one, the group frames will go up whenever you use a predifined position).
I really like how this mod works as it truly does free up memory and help the frame rates a bit, but the thing i hate about is just the looks. atm im using a modified version of ag_unitframes.
I'd like to switch to sraidframes, but to me the ui is made up of 2 key ingredients: efficiency (running smoothly and using low amounts or resources) and looks (clean lines, spacious (loads of room to put things on and still have loads left)
alot of mods have problems with one or the other at some point, for ag_unitframes its efficiency and for sraidframes its looks.
the ag_uf (as it is often called) i use is modified by some of the mods for the mods (linked if you look below ag_uf dedicated download spot on this very site!) so it looks right and i wish there where some similar ones for sraidframes
another important thing about sraidframes is that there is ALOT of settings in comparison to ag_uf which i feel is a drawback. more settings might mean more customization, but to a newbie to the mod it means more settings = more trouble+time
You can get pretty far on the basic settings but if you can get far enough on those (and you can do raids with them) then do you really need the other settings?
same problem here, raid frames were missing after install but it came out when i try to "Reset Position" but not rescale it, grat addon anyway!
question: how can i add buff filter? for example i want only Arcane Intellete Buff showing in raid frame, is it possible? do i need to add all other buff to the filter so it doest show?
I installed the addon, but I can't get the frames to show, the minimap icon is there, but either i'm missing somthingor this just doesn't work for me. Any ideas? Ive turned off ct_raid and most of my other addons, i've pulled out the blizz raid frames, thinking it just modifies those, still nothing. I press "o" thinking there may be a tab for them like the ct_raid has, but there isnt.
....Never mind, they are showing now, I think it was the scaleing moving them off screen...in case anyone else has this issue. Great addon btw, it was exactly what I was looking for, i'm glad I got it working.
I'd like to see a SS of this kind of setup on the main page here. The CTRA look is fine for people who want that kind of look, but sRaidFrames is capable of being very slick and compact too, and that capability deserves attention. IMNSO, it's the best-looking set of raid frames available.
BTW, this version here hasn't been updated since March and I don't know how well it works, but I update mine off wowace and it works great.
This is a really great addon. The only thing missing that I would like to see is an option to hide people who are offline. Maybe there is an option and Im missing it, but if not, it would be a nice improvement.
