In the next update can we get the option to have the bars expand upwards? The reason being is i have all my main stuff i monitor bottom center and id like the window to add new group members upwards so that its not just floating loose when im just duoing or solo. I use it to heal myself solo so i dont want to have it just turn off when im not grouped.
Or is this already an option somewhere that i missed?
If not, point me in the direction and I will take a stab at doing it myself. I am full UI mod author of a vanguard UI, but thats in xml. But i should be able to figure it out if i had a place to start.
In a previous version of HealBot (I'm not sure which one, unfortunately) I had the ability to 'set' the order that group members were displayed in - there was a little button thingy next to their name that could be clicked to 'lock' them in place.
Is that feature still around? If so, how do I activate it?
i have a feature request but I dont know if it's feasible, or whether it'll just open up a whole new can of worms, but I was wondering if it's possible for Healbot to detect non-curable debuffs, such as Felmyst's encapsulate or Brutallus' burn. Right now I use healbot 95% of the time for healing, but those are the cases where I have to look at my Grid for those debuffs too.
Wonderful, wonderful add-on. As a resto drood, the second or two Healbot saves me often makes the difference between a maintained Lifebloom stack and a growl of frustration when I'm a moment too slow and one expires. So first off, many thanks to the author.
But I seem to have a problem with the 4/14 build with using macros instead of a spell name. I have two macros, one for Lifebloom (called Lblm) and one for Regrowth (Rgrw), that I use to activate trinkets. They're relatively basic, as such:
Here's the problem: If I use either macro name in Healbot, then clicking the associated Healbot mouse button on a Healbot bar kicks off the macro, but the spell targets my current target rather than the Healbot bar target I clicked on. It's entirely reproducible and happens with either macro.
I don't know if this is a new problem or if I'm just now recognizing an old limitation. Anyone have any insight? I'd really like to use these macros.
Thanks,
Pattymelt, Drenden
p.s. For you other resto droods out there, the Lifebloomer add-on pairs extremely well with Healbot. You can specify which targets to track for its HoT timers, which show how many lifeblooms you have stacked along with time remaining for all your HoTs. http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/9839/
I'm having a problem. I can't cast anything with my left button or middle button. I didn't change anything to cause this as far as i know. I've tried deleting the addon from the interface folder and downloading again. That didn't work. I tried /reload ui, reset hb, all that stuff and nothing works. Anything i can do?

if you want to try and figure it out, you can join channel HBmsg and use the funcion HealBot_AddDebug("output text") to help capture variable settings [/b]
I have joined the Channel "HBmsg" and editing the HealBot.lua so that I see the outputs. Now when I cast a "Prayer of Healing" or a "Flash Heal"
in the HBmsg Channel appears the text:
[6. HBmsg] [Sotran]: [14:35] DEBUG: UNIT_SPELL_CAST_SENT from player=Sotran
that means HB detects the right name of my priest...
I still have a few question about this latest version of HealBot:
I can't seem to cast heals/buffs/whatever on my target. The target appears in HealBot, but the tooltip says "Target Bar Spells Disabled". I've looked at all the options and played around with settings and all that and I still can't get it to work. If I have SmartCasting enabled, then clicking does SmartCast stuff, but I still can't use my configured spells.
I use the ctl-alt sequence to "Add to Targets" for party members that, say, I want to concentrate my heals on (tanks for instance) but all I can see that it does is change the order in the bar list. What exactly is this supposed to do? What I'd like is for my "targets" to be segregated from rest of the list, either at the end, in a separate list, or something else to differentiate them. I guess I just don't understand what this is supposed to do.
Pretty much every time I go into a battleground, HealBot gets kinda confused. Empty spaces appear in the list, certain raid members I can't cast spells on, etc. I have to open the options and do a "ResetHB" in order for all the bars to work properly again.
Anyway, besides these little niggling issues, it works great and, imho, is indispensable for any healer. Thanks for all the great work!
Last night I was in the middle of a raid and I got kicked out of the game when I came back on Healbot was gone I tried to use /hb to get it back and didn't work at all. but when I changed characters it works with my other characters except my main. I disabled and enabled it in my character screen selection for all my toons and my main character still doesn't have Healbot. How can I make it work please help.
sry took me some time to answer. I've checked the translations, they ARE o.k. HB uses the correct spells -> means: I can heal with hb - everything works fine exept that (beside my group heals) my healbot shows no casts. Other healers where shown properly.
If there is anything else I can do to help you fix this problem please let me know.
And again: Big thx for your good work, Strife.

the only other thing that comes to mind is something to do with your characters name.
To start testing that you will need to open healbot.lua and look at: function HealBot_OnEvent_AddonMsg
see if for you HealBot_UnitID[sender_id] matches UnitName("player")..
see what is passed into inc_msg when addon_id==HEALBOT_ADDON_ID

I don't know how long it has been causing it, but if i have healbot enabled, i can't set the main tank & main assist using the default blizzard raidui. if i disable healbot i can set them. any idea why this would be happening? same thing happens with outfitter, which i have posted in the comments for that addon about.
