Darktide's class UI's   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
These textures are made by darktide, thats why I chose the name Darktide. He did not make any mage or shaman UI's, so I have included my own version for that.

The addon only makes the bar at the bottom, and selects the textures on what class you play. You're going to need additional AddOns to set up actionbars/unitframes/castbars/minimap.

Credits:
Textures by darktide, except mage and shaman ones ( wich I have made )

Technical Information

The download contains artwork making the filesize big, the actual footprint of the code is minimal. It wil not affect performance.

This addon has no slash command's or what's so ever, if you want anything changed, you have to edit the addon itself.

Note that this comment is over a year old

For people that want to modify it to a certain skin, for example a deathknight wanting the rogue skin (because there is no deathknight skin):

Open up Darktide.lua in notepad.

At the top of the file you will see the following:

Code:

--	if you want a certain class always,
--	then change the following line to:
--	local class = "PALADIN"
--	where "PALADIN" is the class you want offcourse.
local class = select(2, UnitClass"player")
change the following line
Code:
local class = select(2, UnitClass"player")
to this:
Code:
local class = "ROGUE"

This doesn't really need Btex. The reason I wrote this is because I didn't want to install Btex.

I'll Be posting a screenshot with all of the skins soon

mrruben5,

could you please add the possibilty to automatically adjust the texturewidth when changing the UI-scale?! Right now it only works with UI-scaling disabled...

Maybe we missunterstood eachother, but the "pannel" above Fubar, the green one, is the mod itself.

Hi there,

wonderful work you`re doing here. But it doesen`t work properly. Tried it with 4 different classes... Textures aren`t displayed correctly, they`re overlapping.
I`m using the deDE(german) client
So, contact me if I can help(test), or if you need translation for whatever, I don`tknow anything about coding.

Keep it up!

What would a full image do? Say 1536 x 225 (with code adapted to interface with 1 file), would that up the memory usage?

Just a curious noob to UI.
WoW has a limited way to get textures to display on the screen. The textures must have a power of 2 ( 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256 etc ) and the width and height can not be bigger then 512, or wow wil crash.

I chose to split the bar up into 6 pieces, because 6 times 256 makes 1536. I could have made 3 x 512 but I like little images It doesn't really affect wow, once the frame is created, nothing else will happen.

Love it.

I have been using eePanels to simply get a look and feel of division between my actions (buttons) and the stage. This does it for me fairly well with some added bonus of graphics. Beats Discord hands down.

The only problem I have with this is that the graphics are too big for me. They come too close to the character no matter how far I zoom away. (i'm a rogue and like to see whats coming behind me and this somewhat, blocks that out.)

My inquiry is thisl; is there a way to make these graphic's height smaller?

Example: Lets just say that from the bottom of my monitor to the top of the graphic (viewable) is 450 pixels. Is there a way to make this graphic say 200 or 220 pixels?

In the meantime while you try to reread my jumbled rambling of a question I am going to use Photoshop, rework a graphic off your base and recode somewhat to see if I cannot achieve what I (the picky) desire.

Wonderful mod and I will always include it in my UI.
TY
