ArkInventory (AI or ARKINV) is an inventory mod that was based off EngInventory when the BtS 2.0.0 patch came out and I needed a working replacement.
AI's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".
AI uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.
You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.
Overview:
* unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
* assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
* assign categories to the bar of your choice
* configurable bars per row
* configurable width
* display bank, bag, keyrings for current and alts across all realms
* separate keybindings for bag, keyring and bank viewing
* /arkinv gui reset (puts the windows back in the centre of the screen)
* /arkinv db reset confirm (resets all user options back to defaults)
* /arkinv cache erase confirm (erases all cached data - not options)
Key Bindings:
Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
click on Key Bindings
scroll down to ArkInventory
bind the keys you want to use

Optional Files - ArkInventory
Sorry, there are currently no optional files available.
Anyway, I am a multiboxer and I am a memory freak. Memory 4x affects me alot - if it's high that's it and your addon is actually quite heavy .. bank/mail/gbank/alt sharing is the flaw, and I'd really like to be unable to track these things, if that's somehow possible? That said I can hardly live without your addon, and discovered this when I looked for an EngBags alternative. I find it really hard to use any other kind of bag organizer!
Help!
If you don't want to add the option, is there some simple way I can edit the lua?
Is there a way to turn off the ability for Ark to remove the bypass of the "Bind on Equip" dialog? I can't seem to find a setting for it but when I try to equip a Netherweave bag the BOE dialog doesn't show. If I remove ark from my enabled mods it then shows when I equip a netherweave bag.
After using 3 one-bag mods I don't think I'll ever go back after Ark.
The only issues I'm having are:
A) Happens most when at the bank but in chat I will get an Alert! saying the frame level was at 173 (usually random #) and has been reset to 2. It does this every time I click on something in my bank.
B) If I drag the window across my screen quickly, the game will lock up for up to 30 seconds. Usually this occurs when I'm attempting to drag something from my bag to trade/bank and was wondering why dragging it too quickly locks up the game?
Just started using this after reading about it in an 'all in one bag' thread on the forums.
It's. Awesome.
I was going to request a feature: that new items be highlighted, but blow me, it does that already!
Awesome!

Noticed it severely after being in the AH for a while then opening my 'offline' bank while my inventory was open. Every 5 seconds the game would freeze for a good second.

Originally posted by HeinzMueller 1. U can edit your rules and remove it. Just click on the second arrow (1st screenshoot - [<] "Faction" > "Realm") and you will find "Rules".
2. To specify items with enchantments or gems, use the full item id. U need to change the item id manual. U can find the more specifically detailed item id on debug info in edit.mode.
Example: Scarlet Belt: 10329:0:0:0:0:0:0
Arkinventory only use the 10329 in automatic adding to the rules. U now have to search this number on rule dps and tank (for your item) and add this complete number.
thx for the respons, but what i ment was, can you remover it from the items itself, i dont want to change my rule itself, just the gear that is linked to it,
it seems once you give it a rule you can only give it more rules but nog remove them from the item, is this correct?
thx in advandce
*edit*
wel after a bit of try and error, i found what you ment, and have been able to get my bags the way i want, so thanks for that.
Now is there a way you could simplify it by making it a part of the menu? aka remove rule, or add full id to rule ***?
As a last request,
is there a option to change the layout of the bags? some bags are nice square other are a just one big horizontal bar,
I'm having an issue with equipping say netherweave bags. Since they are soulbound it should be showing me the confirmation dialog for binding the item to me. But it's not showing for me... Is there a setting somewhere in Ark to bypass this or turn it off. If I disable Ark and go back in with the default bags I can equip the bag and get the dialog. Turn Ark back on and it doesn't show again and I can't equip the bag.
I've tried other inventory mods but man I can't live without Ark... Is there something I am doing wrong, a setting somewhere or something?

This is a cool addon, I love rule-based inventory management for replacing all the manual work of sorting through items. There's a few small things I can't get working though, one of which is not having the bag IDs shown in the tooltip. It's pretty superfluous information. Is that possible? Or could it be made possible?
Click the Green Bag icon in top right to open main menu, then go to Tooltips menu, and uncheck Show Item Counts.
And Ark, thank you SO much for the fix for the position reset! It was driving me crazy!

hey don't know if there has been something posted about this already, almost 500 pages is imba
but when i have made a new rule, and gave that rule to an item, how do i remove that rule again ?
for example,
i have on my druid tier items i use voor dps and tank, but when i want to change one from tank to dps i cant remove the current rule, so it gets trown in the "tank" bag.
