Blizzard added a new "unit type" recently called "Focus". To set your focus in game, you just type /focus. The thing is, they didn't give it any visible UI to go with it. So, I've created a small "Focus Frame" that will show you your Focus and target of Focus' health, mana and casting bars.
* It's movable via the title bar (on the right of the window).
* It will target the focus target or the Target of Focus by clicking on either set of bars.
* Works with the "ClickCastFrames" model. (ala Clique)
Usage:
* Slash Commands:
/ff -- Shows or Hides the window. (Use the X button to close the window, too)
/ff options -- Opens the options window.
/ff lock -- Locks or Unlocks the window.
/ff friend buffs|debuffs|dispellable -- Sets the buffs/debuffs to show for friendly units
/ff enemy buffs|debuffs|dispellable -- Sets the buffs/debuffs to show for enemy units
/ff show buffs -- Shows the buff/debuff icons
/ff hide buffs -- Hides the buff/debuff icons
* LEFT CLICK and drag the window handle to MOVE the window.
* RIGHT CLICK the window handle to SET your current target as your focus target.
* RIGHT CLICK the window handle to with no target to CLEAR your focus target.

I've been looking for a nice addon to keep track of my sheeps, banishes and shackles and this is the addon that I needed !
However I have one request, is it possible for the frame to automatically appear when I have a focussed target and disappear when I dont? I know that I'm a lazy git and that I can type /ff to do the same thing, but could you... could you ^^?
Hopefully it's not that hard to add this 3rd window...it's really helpful e.g. when your focus is a tank and you need to see if his mob's target is someone other than himself. Many of us have our raid MT windows set up exactly this way.
Take a look at this one:

It works well this way, but sadly isn't being updated and I never liked the excess background...
Great job mate and thanks for updating. Of all the focus frame mods I've tried, I like yours the most, however, it would be great if you could add the target of target window as well, perhaps show it as an option?
Thanks
I'm not quite sure what you mean here. The mod already shows the focus targets target. (Focus on the left, Focus' Target on the right). Or are you asking for the Target of the Focus' Target, thus a third set of bars and what have you?
For example: Bob is the Focus, MonsterA is Bob's target and Larry is MonsterA's target. Thus a set up such as:

I see no problems with this on my end. Make sure you have the latest version (1.08) as I fixed an issue with frame scaling at start up that may be part of your problem.
The information for frame locations should be saved automatically to the "\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<USERNAME>\<SERVERNAME>\<CHARACTERNAME>\layout-cache.txt" file. In that file (open it with Wordpad for a quick look) there should be a few lines that look like this:

Originally posted by supaLink been using this since 2.3, loving it but only have one issue.
Whenever I restart WoW/logout, the Focus Frame itself resets back to its original small size, I have to resort to typing /ff options every time for it to automatically scale back to the size I set it to. Just wondering if this is intended?
Keep up the good work
Hmm, really? I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the report and glad you like the mod.
