    I did not originally program this addon...but the original author, Memorandum seems not update. I updated it for WOW TBC.

    SimpleMp3 Player v2 for patch 2.x

    I wanted an mp3 player that was simple, hideable and easy to use.

    I have tested it with Mp3 and Wav files, however it might also work with other audio filetypes.

    Controls and stuff:
    Left Clicking the Minimap button will toggle the SimpleMp3 Form visible/invisible. Shift + Left Clicking the minimap button will toggle the SimpleMp3 Playlist visible/invisible. Right Clicking the minimap button will toggle the volume control form visible/invisible. Left Dragging the upper part of the Minimap Button will move the Minimap button.

    Left Dragging the SimpleMp3 Player Form will move it. Controls on the Player Form: Play/Stop, Shuffle, Prev, Next.

    Information Shown:
    Shows the Duration of the mp3 file. Shows the Track Number of the mp3 file. Shows the Name of the mp3 file, also the mp3 name will scroll if it is too big for the label.

    Playlist:
    There is a playlist creator in the Mp3 folder, it was made really quick so if u find any errors, plz let me know.

    Just so everyone is aware the current version of this mod can be found else were... . But just in case the create of this mod returns to this site, I was wondering of there was a way to stop the volume from fluctuating when people talk in a voice chat?

    Ok maybe im just an Idiot, but I for the life of me cannot figure this program out. I would really like to though. Is there anything Like SimpleMP3 instructions for idiots? A step by step break down would be nice because the instructions that come with it just wont work for me so i think i am doing somthing wronge. Thanks

    Function for mute wow music is seems bugged. But play mp3 work fine.
    The "Mp3" folder must be created in "SimpleMp3" folder and Playlist.lua must be in "SimpleMp3" folder.

    Yes mp3 should be in \Interface\AddOns\SimpleMp3\Mp3

    I figured out how to link the Mp3 folder of the mod to another mp3 folder somewhere else on your computer. It's not pretty but it works.

    First of all I used a program called Junction to "sym link" the mod's mp3 folder to my c:/mp3s folder. That can be found here:

    Then once that's done I used winamp to create a playlist of the songs I wanted to include. It's not the right format but it includes pretty much all the data you need in it. I used UltraEdit (anything text editor that you can record a macro with) to record moving the correct info into the right places and adding the couple things you need. Like the " Song(" " before the file name and the ", at the end before the file length and then the ending ),

    Basically I changed these 2 lines from the winamp playlist:
    #EXTINF:375,Slayer - Hell Awaits
    Metal & Rock/Slayer/Hell Awaits/001 - Slayer - Hell Awaits.mp3

    to this:
    Song("Metal & Rock//Slayer//Hell Awaits//001 - Slayer - Hell Awaits.mp3", 375),

    After I did that I added the
    PlayList = {
    to the beginning of the file and the
    };
    to the end of the file. Saved it as PlayList.lua and moved it into the Interface/Addons/SimpleMp3/ folder.

    I'm sure there's an easier way to generate the playlist but I haven't coded in a long time so I'm not going to attempt writing something that'll work in windows to do it. This works though. It's not too hard to do either as long as you can record a macro.

    because atm it shows the laylist but there is no music only ingame music?
