Evaluating the items that can be craft. Green means ArmorCraft thinks it is an update.
Evaluating loot. The gloves evaluated appear to be good for Laotseu.
Assigning formula to classes.
Editing the formulas. I need to add a way to add, delete and rename them.
ArmorCraft (Fan Update)
[Latest news: I will start posting the beta version here since they are mostly working now :-)]
ArmorCraft is a WoW add-on for scanning an armor crafting window and displaying the best armor or weapon that can be crafted for a given level. This makes it much easier to see if you can craft a better piece of armor for yourself or another player. You can also compare a specific armor or weapon with the one in use by a target player and your alternates. Blacksmiths and Engineers will also show the best melee weapon or gun that can be crafted.
This is an update of Vincent of Blackhand's ArmorCraft. Vincent has stopped playing WoW so I decided to try to do something about making ArmorCraft usable with WoW 2.0.1 and up.
ArmorCraft checks the class and level of the targeted player (defaults to the current player) and then finds the highest usable armor that can be crafted from the currently open trade skill window (Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, Tailoring, Engineering or Jewelcrafing). The armor class and level can be changed to select for players that aren't present.
There are formulas assigned to each class based on the values extracted buy the ItemBonus-2.0 library. There formulas are used to evaluate each item that you pickup or that you can make and compere them with what what you, a party member or an alt is wearing. I tried to come up with good default formulas for leveling but your contribution is welcome.
Shift-LeftClick an armor or weapon in your inventory, bank, loot window or chat window link to open a window to check its usefulness compared to the corresponding equipped item for yourself and a player target. This makes evaluating loot quick and easy. You can also check a selected item in your craft window.
If ArmorCraftCache (included in the distribution) or CharacterProfiler is installed, you can select a alt target and all alts characters will be displayed in the item comparison window. When you are in a party, the party members will be listed in the item comparison window.
See the README file for complete details.

Originally posted by fred Thank you for the update LaoTseu, some of us really like this mod.I myself have been using it since I found it I believe a year and a half ago
ArmorCraftCache still needed? It wasn't in the d/l
Thanks, I'm glad ppl use it. As for ArmorCraftCache, you need it if you want to see your alts stats and don't have RPGOCharacterProfiler.
I didn't find a way to upload optional files on WoWInterface and that's why it's not here.
I just wanted to say that I'm aware of the config not working for formula editing. This is an issue with Ace3 config and hopefuly, it will be solved soon.
Originally posted by Mike-N-Go I really like the idea of this mod. I have a suggestion, however. The target function does not seem to be working for me on the beta, and I do have your cash addon loaded, "AC: Error ArmorCraftCache doesn't know NAME" And I have inspected the person, unless I am doing something wrong, I do not know why it is not working.
Also, some classes have different kinds of gear that is useful to them, take shaman, for example, healing gear, caster gear, and melee gear, I think you should add an option to look up what kind of gear would be most useful to those roles, with a selection option, without having to go to options.
I'll check into the the target problem you are talking about. Unfortunately, I'm away from home this week and have no access to WoW beta or live.
Right now, you can only put one formula by class. On the other hand, AC can only compare to items that a toon is wearing and it's not possible to wear your DPS and Healing set at the same time so the workaround for now is to change the formula in AC when you equip another set so that AC will compare it properly when logged on another toon. If you have more then one toon of a particular class, it's not much help though. It is my objective to be able to use multiple formulas for each class but I'm not sure how to deal with the different sets yet. I'll probably have to interface with something like Outfitter or ItemRack.
Given the limited amount of time I can put on AC these days and my very limited ability of building GUIs in WoW LUA, you should probably not hold your breath :-).

I was indeed AWOL but I'm having a bit of time now and am trying to work on AC.
I've started adding the neck and trickets slots but I still have lots of testing to do. I'll try to release something soon so long as it is not less stable then the version before.
Originally posted by AnthonyK Any chance on this being updated for the newest patch? Just curious. I think I'll miss it when my guild members ask, "what can you make for me?"
Working with 2.1.0 now. I will try to add to it (neck slot and new bonus type) but I can't make any promises as I don't have much time and the code it rather complicated.
