Sell-O-Matic   Popular!
Rate: 4 out of 5 with 6 votes
The purpose of this mod is to help us sell the kind of items that we get most frequently: For example, you're fishing and loaded with raw fish or gray items.

The mod works with a sell list, all names of items or part of the names inside that list will be searched and sold to a merchant when we use it. You can add/delete names from the list.

How to use it:
As simple as going near a merchant and opening their trade window, then you can click on the button or type '/som sellItem' to sell the items listed.

To add names you have to type '/som addItem #itemName', where #itemName is the name, part of the name or link (shift+click) of the item you want to sell. For example, if you want to sell all uncooked fish, you can do '/som addItem Raw' and the addon will sell all items that begin with 'Raw', such as 'Raw Redgill'.

Addon Commands:
/som addItem #itemName: Adds #itemName to the sell list.
/som autoSell: Toggles between auto selling on/off.
/som delItem #itemName: Deletes #itemName from the sell list.
/som showDetail: Toggles between showing each item's profit or not.
/som resetList: Reset the list to defaults (only gray items)
/som sellItem: Sells the items on sell list.
/som useList: Toggles ON/OFF the use of the sell list.
/som showList: Show the items in the sell list (with their items number)

@All ppl with LibRock problems:

I've uploaded a new patched version of Sell-O-Matic that (I hope) solves the problem, still if someone finds another just let me know and will try to solve it.

Hm, I thought I reported that same error somewhere, but I don't see it posted here. Maybe I posted it on wowace.

Anyway, I think I was getting the error just clicking on the "SellOMatic" entry in the Rock options menu. (or is it Waterfall?) Tonight it was while trying to Add items to my sell list. Its not a random error, its 100% repro, but I just don't play that much anymore, waiting on cancel, as matter of fact.

Hi. There's a slight error with selling non-sellable grey items. Currently I have Nitrin's Instructions in my inventory, and every time I visit a vendor, it says something like this:

Quote:
0536 Selling [Nitrin's Instructions]: 29s 70c
0536 1 item(s) sold
0536 You've earned 0 Copper
Maybe SOM could check for "The merchant doesn't want that item" events and create a blacklist (or, heh, greylist) of items to ignore?

Actually, adding an ignore feature would probably be handy in itself.

Anyway, cheers.

I had to open a ticket for a GM to recover everything, since we can only buy back the last 10 items sold. And deleting this mod. And of course, their Item Recovery policy says recovery is not guaranteed, and if they do return things, it can take a week.

How can you sell a mount? The game prevents this, as the vendor can't buy mounts. How much did you get?

Hi.

I'd love to use this to auto-sell all gray items.

Could I request the option to auto-sell all gray items?

Right now I just use a macro to do this, but I love the way yours shows the info in the chat window. (not to mention the sell button!)

Thanks!

Thank You

this is a good add-on for both advanced and beginner WoW players but one problems with patch 2.1 still I downloaded the update to it and it's still saying it's out-of-date on my add-ons, I don't know if there's a problem with my part or it's just the add-on itself

Thanks for the reply. Yeah thats the addons that do it. I was using Autoprofit now I use both.

Sell-O-Matic for myself and Auto profit for my girlfriend. I wanted different sell list as I don't want to have one of us add something that another might want. Autoprofit has a profile system but it was very buggy ... keep deleting the item lists after creating or selecting a profile. So now I use both.... problem solved. I know yours has one too but this way was easier than setting up profiles ... this way my girlfriend does not need to set up the addon either ... although I usually set up her new characters for her.

The only real reason I like the tooltip was sometime chat in places like IF can get very busy or I may not have my chat on. That and I got used to Autoprofit

Sorry, I updated the addon but didnt update the changes... Now its all done.

The thing you ask for is the same that AutoProfit and AutoProfitX have, I dont really know if its necessary to add it since it will tell you when you sell the items... still I will think about it.

Whats new in version 5??

My friend added support for showing what you get before selling junk to the Tooltip Mouse over on the Sell button.

Was wondering if you can add this as well. If thats not already in there now

Sorry for the late response...

EDIT!! I've uploaded the new version (0.4c) that adds support for links, you can add item links directly and it will sell them!

To delete items from the list, you have to do the following:
Type "/som show" to show the list of items. You will see each item has a number before the name, for example [2] = Raw.
If you wanna delete it, you have to type "/som remove #", where "#" is the number of the item.

Visual example:
1) First you need to know whats on the list, so you type "/som show"

You see the list with each item number in [ ].

2) You search the item you wanna delete (for example Pizza) and you type "/som delete 4", the number of the item (not the name).

If you do a "/som show" again you will see that item has been deleted and the list is now reordered.
