Sell-O-Matic Options
Sell-O-Matic   Popular!
The purpose of this mod is to help us sell the kind of items that we get most frequently: For example, you're fishing and loaded with raw fish or gray items.

How to use it:
As simple as going near a merchant and opening their trade window, then you can click on the sell button. By default it will sell all gray items and use no sell or save list.

Options:
  • Auto sell: Automatically sell the items when you open a vendor.
  • Show detail: Shows a profit detail of each item.
  • Use list: Activates the use of sell and save lists.
  • Show list: Prints the contents of the sell and save lists.
  • Add item: Adds an item to the sell or save list.
  • Del item: Deletes an item from the sell or save list.
  • Reset sell list: Clears the sell list.
  • Reset save list: Clears the save list.

Using sell/save lists:
With sell and save lists you can personalize which items you want to sell or save. They work as a filter in which you can add the complete name of the items you want to sell/save or part of the name. Here are some examples:
  • Example #1: You're leveling fishing skill and you're tired of having to sell each fish stack one by one. You can add the word Raw to the sell list and all the uncooked fish will be sold when you push the button. This is because all normal uncooked fish start with the word Raw, so the addon searches for them and sells them for you.
  • Example #2: You have a fabulous gouging pick poor quality item, but you don't want to sell it. You can add the name of the item to the save list and when you sell all your poor quality items, your pick will remain with you.

Important: Be careful when using part of the item name instead of all the name. For example if you add Basilisk to the sell list, it will sell ALL items that have that word. And remember to have activated the option use list if you want to use sell and/or save lists!

@passionfly and Alucarde: This addon DOESNT sell anything that isnt grey items when first installed. This addon DOESNT use sell lists when first installed. In order to sell all the items in the inventory you have to select the option of use a list and add an item such as " " (blank space), "*" or some other special item that will trigger ALL items, but of course, that's not my fault nor the addon... So please, stop whining and complaining. Oh! By the way... Do you have any screenshot? Or its just another theorical post with no proof about it?

If you open the main file .lua, you can check the defaults of the addon:
Code:
local defaults = {
	profile = {
		autoSell = false,
		showDetail = false,
		useList = false, <== Wont use lists
		sellList = {},    <== Empty sell list
		saveList = {},
	},
}
And since I'm using a DIFFERENT database name from other versions, its cleary IMPOSIBLE to the addon to change the values by itself, someone might have changed them, dont you think?

If you prefer other addons rather than this one its ok, there are some other addons that sell grey items, but you dont have to come here posting something that ISNT TRUE and WITHOUT PROOF... I dont know you, but if I download an addon that helps me in something and it deletes items or something that I dont want and the addon doesnt do, I assure you I take a screenshot and PM the author telling him what happened.

Do NOT use this addon

I have downloaded the addon in hope to automate the selling of grey items. Upon installation and usage, the addon sold EVERYTHING in my inventory, including my arrows, consumables, additional epic trinkets and reputation related items.

There are other safer addons to use than this.

Further data:
Date of use - 5th Nov '08
Time of use - 23:28 (server time)
Patch - WoW 3.03
Others - No conflicts

Angry THIS MOD IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!

I OPENED THE VENDOR WINDOW AND IT SOLD EVERYTHING IN MY BAGS EVERYTHING IS GONE I CAN ONLY RETRIEVE 12 TIMES FROM THE BUYBACK WINDOW. I HAVE TO GET A GM TO TRY AND GET ALL MY PURPLES IN MY BAGS THAT ARE NOW GONE. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS MOD DID AN AUTOSELL OF ALL MY 18 SLOT BAGS BUT I WAS HORRIFIED TO OPEN A VENDOR WINDOW AND POOF EVERYTHING GOES AND IS SOLD. I USE ARKINVENTORY FOR BAG MANAGEMENT AND I ADDED THIS MOD TO AUTOSELL GREY ITEMS ONLY IT SOLD EVERYTHING IN MY BAGS GONE POOF GONE I HATE YOU STUPID IDIOT WHO MADE THIS MOD. ALL THOSE MONTHS OF STRUGGLING TO MAKE ALL MY NICE GEAR GONE IN THE BLINK OF AN INSTANT YOU MALICIOUS JERK!!!!!!

I can't get the options to show up in the Interface/Addons tab. They were there before until I updated to a new version.

I tried turning off all of my other addons to see if there might be a conflict somewhere, but the options still do not show up.

Is there command line text I can type in to get to the options menu?

Edit: Nevermind. I figured it out.

You can still use them, but you cant add to the command line the item link (as using on other versions). Thats because many people where having trouble as the where adding a blank space or a special character that will sold their entire inventory ^^

As for the earlier save list, I will try to add a recovery option. The database is the same, but I've changed the name of the list, so adding a line like "if the older list has things, copy to the new one" should solve the problem. As for the item link, I will try to add another option (such as /som addLink) that will handle item links as well.

Ah, too bad. This was one of my favorite mods with the slash commands available, but the gui is too cumbersome to use. I don't seem to be able to shift-click to add items as I could before, my previous sell list is suddenly gone, and it's just not as straightforward to use. Are the slash commands gone for good?

@All ppl with LibRock problems:

I've uploaded a new patched version of Sell-O-Matic that (I hope) solves the problem, still if someone finds another just let me know and will try to solve it.

Hm, I thought I reported that same error somewhere, but I don't see it posted here. Maybe I posted it on wowace.

Anyway, I think I was getting the error just clicking on the "SellOMatic" entry in the Rock options menu. (or is it Waterfall?) Tonight it was while trying to Add items to my sell list. Its not a random error, its 100% repro, but I just don't play that much anymore, waiting on cancel, as matter of fact.

Hi. There's a slight error with selling non-sellable grey items. Currently I have Nitrin's Instructions in my inventory, and every time I visit a vendor, it says something like this:

Quote:
0536 Selling [Nitrin's Instructions]: 29s 70c
0536 1 item(s) sold
0536 You've earned 0 Copper
Maybe SOM could check for "The merchant doesn't want that item" events and create a blacklist (or, heh, greylist) of items to ignore?

Actually, adding an ignore feature would probably be handy in itself.

Anyway, cheers.
