I'm stopping development of this mod as of now. Tuller have created SellFish http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=7035 which does the same thing as ColaLight, but using _a lot_ less memory. So go get that one instead.
And don't give me that crap about SellFish not being Ace! Tuller is a very good developer and his mods are small and very well done.
ColaLight is a data mining add-on, collecting the sell value of items by scanning the prices when a merchant frame is shown, and displaying the price in the tool tip of an item. It has several options for how to display the information.
ColaLight comes with a default database containing ~17000 items.
It has a data-sharing module called ColaMachine, that broadcasts any new item value information gathered to a designated channel. The channel can be custom channel or the add-on channel, then sending to all the members in the guild, it defaults to a custom channel called lootlinkdatasharing. This is handy for sharing your data with your guild and/or friends.
Useful commands:
"/cl quality 4" set to display value of items only of rare quality or below.
"/cl colamachine channel <addon>" sets the add-on to use the add-on channel.
"/cl colamachine channel broadcast" broadcasts the entire database to the designated channel.
It supports the add-ons Links and AtlasLoot.
It's data-syncing is compatible with VendorValues by Saeris.
Thanks to Kaelten and Tuller for some code, and to Saeris for his data sharing patterns and some default data.

Originally posted by nemesiscw Alright guys, I downloaded ColaLight, which is a addon to see how much things sell for, and it made me join a channel called LootLinkDataSharing Channel. I didn't mind that part, but when the addon started screwing up and giving me a error window that I could not close, I decided to uninstall it. Now, it still making me join the Lootlinkdatasharing channel. How can I get rid of it? It's annoying because when a person that's using ColaLight uses a vendor it displays enough numbers to fill the chat box.
Can anyone help?
search your computer for everthing that has to do womething with colalight and delete it (first put it in anather folder and looks if it helps, otherwise you can destroy wrong data)

Is it possible to have this display the stack value instead of or in addition to the price for each? That's usually what I'm looking for when I go to sell stuff, or especially if I'm looking to destroy something because my bags are full. Makes it easier to do a quick comparison if I'm looking at the stack value.
Ye, I'm pretty sure there are some incorrect values in there, but if that piece of equipment is in your bags while at a vendor the new (correct) value is being written and used in stead.
Feel free to send me the the new gathered and updated data (stored in the savedvars file) to me and I will include it in the next release. But I would appreciate large updates, since I don't want to spend all my time merging smaller updates .
by now I've noticed that at least some of the values shiped with ColaLight don't mach the actual price the vendor will pay. Eg the Stormpike Insignias, though not sellable, are listed with 2 copper each.
