Simple Soulstone Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

My very first addon now released to the public. =)

Features:

Allows for a message to be displayed, whenever you cast a soulstone on somebody.
Displays a list of raid or party members, with soulstones on them and an estimated time till the soulstone wears off. (new: The caster of the soulstone may be shown!)
Monitors, which warlocks in your party have their soulstone cooldown ready. (new)
FuBar Plugin! =)

Simple Soulstone uses the Ace2 libraries.

Currently, there are german and english localization files.

Any suggestions are very welcome!

No bugs have been reported for quite a while, so I now consider SSS to be bugfree, moving it to final. I may add new features in the future.

I tried to guess, who the soulstones belongs to (i.e. who cast it). Please test this, since I am no warlock myself. The source can only be given if you observe the casting!

Added a whole bunch of message options for all your spam needs
I've made the Fubar-Plugin a seperate Addon for those, who do not wish to use Fubar.
Clicking on the Fubar-Icon now posts the Soulstone list in a customizable channel (this function is available through the menu, too. Try /sss list print)
The menu is now better organized.
The soulstones are now colored by class! If somebody wants a switch for this feature, just drop a comment.

Simple Soulstone is now a FuBar-Plugin. If there is no FuBar installed, the functionality is unchanged. I hope. =)

The source detection part in limited by range et al. I hope this might be possible when 2.4 comes. =) "tot" means dead. Its german and it seems like I botched my localisation =) I'll upload a fix for that, as well as for the spirit of redemption bug, as soon as possible, hopefully today.

That would be a nice feature to have the windows stay open when in a raid and actually tell us that lock1, lock2, lock3 do not have an ss up. Obviously, it maybe would not know till it was able to start tracking them after a lock cast it first. Then it could start tracking. I cant think of it, but what does "tot" mean?

(Not just the one with "_Fu" at the end). @joshwill80 There is a simple text warning in the default chatframe. I doubt that I will add sounds, since I do net need them, but only time will tell =)

If so, then is it able to print the warning to chat or scrolling combat text addons? Also being able to set up a sound warning when a SS expires would be nice. Maybe include some default sounds and/or let the user use thier own sound via sharedmedia?

This addon is meant to track the soulstones, but I think I understand why one wants to also track the warlocks =) Unfortunately, the function to link the soulstone to its owner is not very reliable. I can never reallly tell if somebody has already set his soulstone. He may just have been too far away then. So without forcing every warlock to install this addon, I do not think this functionality can be added. I am open to suggestions, though. Last edited by ngollon : 10-05-2007 at 06:40 AM.

It tried it out and its a great first addon as you said. Not sure if the display is needed if you can detach the tooltip in fubar. Though I guess if you don't have fubar thats a plus, but the fubar tooltip has all that font / size change stuff already in it. Be nice to get rid of the addon's homebrew ui.

It seems to fail where you have no soulstones at all however which is when you want to know about such a thing most I guess. So there are three locks in your raid and no soulstones, it wont tell you that. So in the screen shot the 30min from now that window will not appear and Rianne, Vaeyl, and Emirrelle's names will not appear with a 'nobody' (or 'last person') and 'expired' (or 'unknown') next to their names. I mean I assume when you have a lock in your raid that there is a soulstone in the works.

This is close to being useful outside a 'class specific: warlock' if it had the above however. Its merely tracking the actual SS buff cast and timer.
