Nameplate Modifier is meant as a basic mod to allow you to expand what nameplates can do, since this is the first (re-release) version it doesn't have everything fully reimplemented. This is for basic nameplate configuration, if your goal is to modify every single aspect then thiis isn't the mod for you.
Can do basic configuration like font and shadow configuration, as well as being able to change the texture of the status bars, or hiding the bar of cast and health.

* Initial Import: Nameplates/
* Redone version of the original Nameplates Modifier addon, but actually makes more sense, works better and is a bit cleaner then the old version
* This is not the end all nameplate mod if your goal is to have every single feature available or super customize your nameplates then this isn't the mod for you.

Optional Files - Nameplate Modifier
Sorry, there are currently no optional files available.
I"ve got a question, i would like to completely hide the highlight texture (mouseover) from my nameplates, currently i'm using evl_nameplates because this one just does too many things for me, could you tell me how please ?
The main issue i have right now is that i can hide it with highlightRegion:Hide(), but it only works on the first mob after a /rl, it reappear right after that and i don't understand why.
It's not inverted, when the option is checked it sets it own shadow and by default thats 0/0 (eg, no shadow shown) when you uncheck it it restores the default shadow for that FontString. You have to enable it, it's disabled by default if I recall.
- the options for the shadow are inverted. E.g. - when option is checked then th e shadow around the font is not showing
- when you press V, SHIFT+V, etc. there is no input (saw the print function, but it seems that there is no hook for it).
Got the font shadow and the border options in, may add recoloring options when I get time. I was originally going to make something a bit more advanced and customizable, but I can't get it done in a way I like thats flexible yet simple.
Well thats rather odd, I'll look into it but I use WinRAR and FireFox and haven't had any issues, the only people who have had problems that I know of are ones who used the Windows Extractor.
Purity: It'll be an option in the next release, but not sure when that will be.
Originally posted by Bobwich III Addon folder is messed up, cannot copy the whole folder out of the zip.
FWIW, I get this same problem with all of your Addons, Shadowd. I've tried WinRAR, 7zip, default Winblows extracter and also using IE7 instead of Firefox for the DL. None of it works.
It's frustrating but I usually just sort through the Zip and drag out each file manually. Your addons are worth the trouble.
Keep up the great work. You write solid, simple mods without unneeded bells and whistles! It's a refreshing change of pace.
I would like to change the border on the nameplates. The tacky gold has got to go. It was the only reason I ever used aloft.
Can this addon do that? Is there a simple place in the lua that I can replace the location of a border I like?
I loaded it and so far I really enjoy the font options. Great work!
Edit:
Hmm, well I just did an experiment. I copied a blp from Leialyn's UI into my tooltips folder....and wallah! Like magic I have a beautiful border around my nameplates.
I feel so silly now being angst by those nasty gold textures for so long and all I needed to do was drop something in a folder.
Have couple of questions:
- is it possible to add option for text positioning (right, center, left) to the player name ?
- is it possible to add option to re-skin (remove) the border of nameplate?
- is it possible to extend the addon to re-skin (remove) the border of cast bar also ?
Bobwich III: I just downloaded and tried again, it still works fine using WinRAR.
luxus: No it's only an Aloft replacement for those who don't want monsters of addons, if you want to be able to turn them into mini unit frames with every bit of info, you want to use Aloft still.
