Shaman Warning   Updated less than 3 days ago!   Popular!
This mod will play a sound alert when you gain certain shaman buffs/special abilities. I made this because many times I don't even realize I have them due to fights or not reading the entire combat chat.

Supported spells so far:
  • Ancestral Awakening
  • Charged (T5)
  • Clearcasting
  • Earth Shield
  • Elemental Devastation
  • Executioner
  • Eye of the Storm
  • Flurry
  • Invigorated (T5)
  • Lightning Shield
  • Mana Tide Totem
  • Mongoose
  • Water Shield
  • Wave Trance (T5)
  • Windfury
  • Trinkets (NEW)

Trinket warning is still being tested, it should work fine with many trinkets but if you find one that doesnt work just send me a message and I will look it!

Configuration

You can configure the alerts via the addon tab in interfaces options.

Will try to keep on adding warnings to the mod.

Trinket Warning

To configure trinket warning you need to know which is the name of the spell triggered. You can do this going to wowhead or similar pages, searching for the trinket itself and clicking in the trinket spell, so you can know the name of the spell triggered. Then you type that name in the text box and ShamanWarning should play a sound when it triggers. Also you can record and filter the combat log to see the spell name.

Trinket warning is still being tested, so if you find a trinket that doesnt sound please contact me and I will try to solve it.

All-Class Warning... hehehe, I also think it would be great, still since many things are going to change in the expansion, I will wait a little to add more things to the addon, but I will have this one under the "To do" list :P

Just a request. Maybe it would be nice if you could make it for more than one class, like for warrior too. I ask this because with "Sword and Board" Prot talent, Shield Slam cool down can reset at any time so having a SOUND warning for when this ability gets available would be awesome. Actually, Shield Slam and Revenge sound warning would be damn great!

And I am sure some other classes would really love a such addon too. So maybe you can make a menu for the class to choose and then for the spell/abilities users want a warning sound?

Dunno, just an idea!

Thanks

German translation

Any chance for a version which works with the German client?
(I think you could utilize LibBabble-Spell-3.0.)

Suggestion

I love the mod, its nice and easy, but is it possible to add an alert to tell you when lightning overload procs? playing an elemental shaman i would like to know when it procs because its sometimes hard to tell.
