=======================================
If you read nothing else on this page, read this
1) Due to the ever growing length of the SBF description and configuration text, I have moved all SBF documentation to its own website here: http://evilempireguild.org/SBF. Odds are good that your question is answered here.
2) SBF monitors YOUR buffs and debuffs. It doesn't show anyone else's buffs or debuffs. =======================================
New for version 2.8.8:
- Now saves more ButtonFacade colours, just in case.
New for version 2.8.7:
- ButtonFacade border and gloss settings should be saved correctly now
(Note that only Normal Border and Gloss colour settings are applicable to SBF)
New for version 2.8.6:
- Problems with SBF freezing should be solved
- Buff counts should not be out of position when using ButtonFacade
- Removed LibStub from .toc dependencies
Satrina Buff Frames (SBF) is an addon that replaces the buff frames in the default WoW UI. That is, your buffs. Not your target's. Or your pet's. Or Bob in Accounting's. Yours.
Satrina Buff Frames feature highlights:
* Buffs and debuffs in any number of moveable frames
* User choice of 1-32 buffs visible in any frame
* Duration timers with several format options (plus no timer option)
* Optionally, buff bars can be enabled in any frame
* Temporary weapon enchants are displayed in the main buff frame
* Buff expiry warnings, setttable by frame with multiple choices for when to trigger warnings, and what length of buff warnings will appear for
* Options for an accompanying sound for expiry warning
* Buff expiry warnings can be displayed in Blizzard scrolling combat text, Grayhoof's SCT, Parrot, or MikSBT
* Buffs arranged vertically or horizontally
* User set number of buffs per row/column
* Reversable icon order
* Several buff sorting options
* Adjustable icon scale, duration text scale, spacing between buffs, and opacity - separate for each buff frame
* Individual buff frames have 5 visibility options: always visible, never visible, visible in combat, visible out of combat, and visible on mouseover
* "Show in Frame" feature to force a buff to show in a the frame you want it
* Advanced filtering, a step beyond "Show in Frame"
* Buff exclusion feature to force selected buffs to never be shown
* Uses the SharedMedia Library so you can present a uniform UI using the same fonts and textures your other SML addons do
* Supports cyCircled
* True GUI configuration (not 700 cascading popup menus!)
Hey you. Yeah, you! Got a cool buff setup using SBF? Take a screenshot and put it on an image site, then email me the link: satrina@evilempireguild.org
Yeah, the tooltips for talent-enhanced abilities for most classes are buggy. That's not an SBF problem, it's the game reporting the wrong thing.

My Battle Shout, via talents, has been buffed to provide 67 AP on usage. However when I mouseover the little icon in my buff area, it says, 55 which is the flat AP rate without talent points in it. Is this a known issue? (This close to Wrath, I don't think it's a big deal, just wondering)

jinhan108 - that is weird. That error means that somehow all the graphic elements in one of your buff frames have gone away. It could be a corrupted saved variable file.
xjtufans: You're just a bit off on the filters. Try this:
3:d<=60
3:r<=60
3:h&r<=60
Also make sure you have "Enable time remaining filters" checked off in the filters frame, or your time remaining (r) filters won't do anything.
I like this addon,
I want to use this to track some short time buffs and debuffs,
so I create a frame named Buff3 and add these filters:
3:d<=60
3:d&r<=60
3:h&r<=60
But I find two issues with this configuration,
1. If a buff last time less than 60 seconds, it will display, but if the buff last time bigger then 60 seconds and it's rest time is less than 60 seconds, it doesn't display, how to add filter then it can display? I think this maybe caused by no new buff event happens, so the filter will not triger.
2. Use the above confgiuration, one of Pal's seal can't display, but other seal display correctly. It's very strange.
SBF 3.0 is still in development right now. I am aiming to put out a beta for PTR/Beta server in the next few days so people can start playing with it. It will not be feature complete.
As always, beta versions will only be available on WowInterface. Once I release, it will go on the Ace SVN as well.
Lastbreath - The plan is to allow buff tracking on any valid unit id, yep!
ManniAT - Totem range is a known issue in SBF 2.x that will be fixed in SBF 3.0
digmouse - SBF 3.0 will convert your SBF 2.0 saved variables when you first load it up. You will need to tweak layouts, but nothing should be too horribly broken. Filters aren't changing in the initial release at all (I'm going to do filter updates in the 3.1 release most likely)
Hey m8 must say nice addon and + love the options that u have puted , wich means u have ideas. Ive read ure In Development page and want to ask when u plan to add:
Track buffs for any unit the WoW buff interface allows (e.g. pet, target, focus, party1-4, raid1-40, targettarget, etc.)?
Satrina: will there be a converting tool to turn 2.x SV into 3.0? Or it still can be used upon 3.0 release? And whether the filter rule is gonna be changed?
And will 3.0 be available on the new wowace repo or wowinterface SVN?
Thank you

I just leave, but I will remember.
I'm leveling another shaman (rerolling troll for the expansion, and yes, I know I'm crazy!) and have been encountering the following error occasionally. As it isn't consistent, I've been unable to figure out exactly when it happens, but from watching my MSBT alerts, it seems to coincide with a change in my weapon buff: the buff falls off, I cast the buff, or I overwrite the expiring buff with a fresh one. When it happens, the error repeats 10-15 times per second, and the buff frame no longer updates at all, until I reload the UI.
SatrinaBuffFrame.lua:957: attempt to index local 'buff' (a nil value)
tekErr seems to not handle endlessly spammed errors very well, and won't give me the full stack trace when I click on an error, so I don't know if there's any more to it than that. Let me know if that's not enough; I can reinstall BugSack again if needed.
