DrDamage displays the calculated, average damage or healing of abilities with talents, gear and buffs included on your actionbar buttons. The addon will also add various information to the default tooltips in your spellbook and on the actionbar.

Slash Commands:

/drdamage or /drdmg

Current features:
  • Supports all classes
  • Actionbar addons supported: Default, Bartender 3&4, Bongos 2&3, CT_BarMod, DAB, Nurfed AB, CogsBar, InfiniBar, FlexBar2, TrinityBar 1&2, idActionBar and IPopBar.
  • Places a text with metric of your choosing on the actionbar buttons
  • Also supports macros if their tooltips set to the spell/action with #showtooltip spellname
  • Different damage and healing statistics from tooltips on the actionbar and in the spellbook. This includes for example crit %, spell damage and damage coefficients, averages (w/ or w/o crits/DoTs), DPS, DPSC (damage per seconds cast), damage until OOM and more!
  • Includes your buffs and the target debuffs in calculations

More information about functionality:
  • Uses mostly default WoW API to retrieve your stats, keeping tooltip scanning to a minimum
  • Uses the same Adaptable damage/healing calculation engine used for all the calculations
  • Easy table design to add/modify talent effects, spells and buffs/debuffs
  • Allows manual modification of the essential base stats used to calculate (you can test how much that +n spelldamage or healing would increase your spells different calculated values)

FAQ:
  • How can I get the Dr.Damage tooltip info or actionbar text on macro buttons?
  • Modify your macro to show the blizzard tooltip by inserting the line: "#showtooltip Spellname" or "#showtooltip Spellname(Rank x)"

Changelog:

v. 1.4.0
  • MAIN FEATURE: You can now manually add buffs/debuffs/consumables to always include into the calculations. Mostly they should not double stack if they are really applied.
  • Added stat comparison to tooltips. Allows you to compare +dmg/heal, haste rating, crit rating and hit rating with eachother
  • Added Bartender4 support
  • Fixed Rake being affected by mitigation
  • Performance optimizations
  • Whirlwind calculation now properly includes 4 off-hand hits
  • Bug fixes to melee and caster module hit calculation options
  • Tooltip haste needed for +1% DPS is now based on current DPS and not base DPS
  • AvgHit/AvgHitTotal options for caster module now display a single hit damage for multihit abilities like drain life and holy shield
  • Bug fix to casts left
  • Added possible hit and crit bonuses when converting white melee to yellow melee in next melee type abilities
  • Fixed possible error message related to windfury
  • Added amount of hits into total damage calculation of Seal of Blood
  • Updated Babble-Inventory-2.2 to LibBabbleInventory-3.0
  • Fixed Pounce Scaling
  • Fixed multiple mortal strike type effects stacking into -heal calculation
  • Fixed DPS calculation for channeled spells
  • Fixed chain heal/chain lightning chain calculation
  • Corrected Holy Shock damage values to 2.4
  • Added Soul Siphon effects back
  • Changed the text fontstring from its own frame into the actionbar button frame
  • No longer needs #showtooltip for macro detection
  • Cast sequence macros should now update when the spell changes

v. 1.3.0
  • Performance optimization in many central functions
  • Removed Deformat library, no longer needed
  • Removed the massive BabbleSpell library, no longer needed
  • Converted to using spellIDs. Should work now in all locales equally without issues
  • Now gets action power costs (mana/energy/rage) and spell cast times straight through API, no more scanning of tooltips
  • Lifebloom coefficient changes to 2.4 values
  • Fixed a few druid idols
  • Added option to swap between primary and secondary calculations for dual purpose abilities (holy shock, holy nova)
  • Caster module now properly remembers the display type after logging out

Unlikely that I'd add support just for a few totems. It's probably in rather limited use and it'd need quite a bit additional code since DrDamage is designed to support only one actionbar addon at a time.

Are those errors from the wowace release and not the one available for download here? One version had an issue causing that, but it has already been fixed.

Like the previous poster already pointed out this is due to armor mitigation. There is no way of determining mob armor easily, it would need to calculate armor based on known mitigation and create a database with armor listed for every enemy separately. This is out of DrDamage's scope, if there is any good addon with such provided I'm willing to integrate optional support.

In the meantime, there's an option to manually set a guesstimated mitigation, you can put it to whatever seems to bring you closest to the actual values if that is your wish.

Physical damage, melee or otherwise, is reduced by your target's armor. Spell damage is affect by resistance and resilience, but is rarely as large a factor as is armor for mitigation purposes.

What is going on? I really miss the macro names

Have you tried reloading UI after the change? If you keep that setting constantly off, DrDamage should not remove them in the first place.

- Second (and the most important for me): I reallly don't need to show the avg damage, etc in the button... what I really need is to show the macro name as shown without using DrDamage. You could add an option under the ActionBar menu where we could select AvgTotal,Avg,...,None (or macro name).

Sorry for my english and I hope you reply soon Thank you in advance.

Tooltip modification is not what I intend to do. It would require tooltip specific code and it's out of scope of my intended idea, being as light as possible.

You can already turn off the text. How did you miss the option "Actionbar text on/off" in general options?

Lithe Tooltip Doctor allows you to do what you ask at least. It's simple and does just that. Available at wowace I believe.

Show DPM/HPM
Show dmg/heal -oom
Show casts/time - oom
show additional info

For some reason it seems to be a positional thing. Everything below DPM doesn't show (and including)

The action button defaults to Avg D/H

DrDamage uses the mana cost information provided by the enhanced tooltip for those calculations, without it the addon can't access the information and thus can't calculate those. There's nothing I can do.
