LightHeaded is a very simple addon that displays quest information and comments from http://www.wowhead.com in game, eliminating the need to Alt-Tab when you get stuck on quest. This addon was inspired by qcomments and wowhead_quests, which both serve a similar purpose. Data is only loaded when you first request it, so you can be sure you're not using more memory than you need to.
The addon I use to make my quest log wide, is called DoubleWide, and you can download it here at http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info6887-DoubleWide.html. LightHeaded should work with any quest log that uses QuestLogFrame.
I HIGHLY suggest using this addon with TomTom, another one of my addons (http://www.wowinterface.com/download...32-TomTom.html ). This allows you to simply click any coordinate in LightHeaded to add it to your map as a waypoint.
The following slash commands are valid:
/lh attach - Attaches the frame to the quest log
/lh detach - Detaches the frame, allows you to resize and move it
/lh sound - Toggles the open/close sound
/lh page - Toggles showing all comments on one page, or with multiple pages
/lh bgalpha <0.0-1.0> - Changes the alpha of the LH window background textures, so you can see the world.
/lh debug - Enables or disabled debug messages when loading quest databases
IMPORTANT: Addon authors that wish to use this API and data should
include the wowhead logo in the frame that displays this information.
They are kind enough to let me continue parsing their database, and we
owe them at least that much. Thank you.
The World of Warcraft 2.4 patch brings lots of API changes in particular to the combat log, but they also snuck in a nice change. You can now shift-click a quest in the quest log to send a link to another player. A side-effect of this is that the internal numeric quest ids that are used to identify each quest have been exposed.
This means I am now able to correlate quest data between wowhead.com and the game client, to display more accurate quest information. In addition, this instantly localized the addon so it works with any game client. The comments will still appear in English (as will the names in the Quest Series) section of the information, but I no longer need to distribute a large database for other locales.
When installing this version of the addon, please remove any prior versions of LightHeaded (and it's data addons) that you might have laying around. They are not needed in this version, and deleting them ensures you get the latest version of the addon.
There may be bugs as we work through these changes, so thank you in advance for reporting them to me so I can fix them as soon as possible.
* Fixed a bug that caused the wrong quest to be displayed after the frame was unhidden
* Changed the behavior of the close button to close the quest log instead of the frame
* If you are using a quest log other than the default, the behavior shoudl be unchanged
* Fixed an issue where the page would flip back to 1 due to other addons
* Fixed an issue where the close button wasn't clickable
* Fixed a bug that prevented you from clicking on the quest title to go back to page 1
* Fixed a bug that could occur when loading item tooltips
* Fixed two bugs with unknown quest names
* Fixed an issue where waypoints were being set without proper titles
* Fixed a bug due to stray calls to QuestLogTitleButton_OnClick
* Patch from Fin that enables /lh autodata, a slash command to toggle the automatic loading of quest data.
* This will make all quest series information show up with quest titles, when enabled.
Originally posted by BooHag The screenshots show quest levels next to the quest names. Is this from LightHeaded, and if so, how can I turn this on?
It's another addon. In that screenshot it's Gazmik Fizzwidget's Levelator, specifically.

Originally posted by Ylien I'm guilty of not having read through all the comments here, but if anyone has time to answer my question it will be appreciated.
As shown on the the screenshots it's possible to seperate the quest log from the quest description, but I haven't figured out how to manage that.
As I have it now the quest log is above the quest description making me scroll through the quests to find the one I want.
I'd like the quest log to be on one page, the description on another and the comments from wowhead next to the description.
Anyone know how I can get this done?
Ylien
As stated in the addon description, this is accomplished using DoubleWide, another addon available here. LightHeaded without it just looks silly, hence why my screenshots are taken like that.

Originally posted by Maleren Yes, I DO have the latest version of Lightheaded and I have disabled ALL additional addons and reloaded them one at a time to try and figure out which one could be causing the conflict. I love using Lightheaded and have enjoyed all the info placed in it. It's a great addon but if I can't resolve the problem I seem to be as you say the only person having it then I'll have to find another quest log addon and hope that Lightheaded doesn't give me errors with it. Are only certain quest log addons better to use with Lightheaded or does it matter?
Thank you.
Well, here's the deal. Does it work properly when you have only LightHeaded enabled? Run the following macro, which may help us figure out what is going on:
/run local old=SelectQuestLogEntry; function SelectQuestLogEntry(...) ChatFrame1:AddMessage(debugstack()) return old(...) end
That should print a chat message every time something calls that function. Could you get me some prints of that happening that isn't a direct result of you clicking? That may help me figure it out.

The ONLY reason LightHeaded would go to a different quest is because you have another addon that is interfering with the stock API.
Edit: Actually, there have been reports of other AddOns causing this paging problem with LightHeaded. My report was that it was CarbonQuests. I also have seen several times the selected quest switching problem mentioned by Maleran. Anyway, it started doing it again for me last night, and I have not been using CarbonQuests for a long time. I am not sure, but it may have been EquipCompare that was doing it this time; maybe all along. It may be intermittent, but shortly after removing EquipCompare (since Armory has that function built in now) I noticed that LightHeaded page scrolling was working again.

I've disabled all addons except for lightheaded to make sure nothing else was causing the problem.

Cool, was just in case this had been due to changes to LH for 2.4. will make sure i got latest V of skinner and see if it's been fixed. if not as said i'll pass it onto JNC with a list of what i'm running to see if it's either a code glitch or something else i'm using and not skinner.
cheers for answering so promptly and again Kudos on what has become one of the few things I'll never delete from my Add-ons folder unless blizzard ever put WoWhead into the game ( and that'll happen about the same time the game goes free )
I didn't find out HOW it comes that it always pops back to page 1, but i do know that if you just don't "-" your quest tabs, it will work. so keep all your quest tabs open and it won't pop back to page 1

all addons clean installed for 2.4 compliant versions and as many ACE as poss ( already got rid of all conflict apart from those that cropped up for 2 days with last mini-patch ).
only thing i've noticed is both LH and Outfitter now sit offset both left and down while skinner is running ( dock fine while skinner disabled, checked by disabling skinner via ACP and reloading UI ); so to get LH sitting beside QL when skinner running having to detach and manually move to position.
any idea is this a bug / deficiency in LH or in Skinner, since worked fine before 2.4 patch for Skinner.
if it's skinner causing this NP, and kudos on what along with mobmap and cartographer make my questing and grinding so much easier.

p.s. if you know how to skin LH for Skinner easily could you post it as i'm probably not the first one getting this or think it may be a nice bit of code for next version then would be much appreciated for lazy people like me that hate the basic interface and keep tweaking for a nice simple clear UI.
again thanks and kudos..... keep up the good work

The only quest relative mod is FuBar_QuestsFu. With previous LH version i got the 113 error and i didn't get any LH comments by clicking on the quests from QuestsFu, but LH worked from the normal blizzard questlog.
Now with LH 233 i get the 114 error and although i see the LH frame, it's empty, i don't see any comments.
LightHeaded's API change in 2.4 to accomodate the new quest identifiers. You will need to take this up with the author of FuBar_QuestsFu.
