CHANGELOG:
041508 - Updated all addons to 2.4. RELEASE NOTES: Still not 100% happy with button layouts on aspect ratios other than 1.25. I will more than likely be correcting that over the course of the next couple weeks.
112907 - Added RAR option for download.
111707 - removed a TON of additional addons. You will now need to supply your own threat meter, map addon, etc. Updated sewellui lua script to be 2.3 compliant
072707 - Automated installer, /sewellui LUA, multiple resolution support. You may still have to play with Pitbull, because for some reason their profiles can't be called globally from a lua script... BTW - credit goes to Ansu of SpartanUI - the majority of the auto-config code is his creation.
071207 - Updated several plugins and deleted some to address loading times
062507 - Updated several plugins - added some new ones - Updated unit frames layouts to be more configurable - Updated Raid layouts
061107 - Updated some settings in lua files that were causing a weird error message.
061007 - Fixed PVP/BG Raid frames using Grid as default now. Tweaked lua for pitbull to improve player/target frames - Minor adjustments to quartz and pitbull settings.
060507 - Updated to Pitbull (instead of AG_UF), other small additions, major overhall of the top portion of the screen. Changed the lower portion to house damage meter and map on lower right side, left side now contains two chat windows on top of each other. Changed the spell/trinket cooldown timers to omnicc to free up more screen real-estate.
053007 - Updated 2.1 plugins, removed additional WTF layouts - they were causing problems - updated installation directions
052607 - Updated 2.1 plugins, added 3 options for WTF layouts
052407 - Added note about 2.1 Patch.
050307 - NONE. This is the first release!
NOTICE: IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM
FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS - if you hit problems, you probably need to pop a ritalin and re-read the directions.
Read these forums first, read the wowace.com forums for specific addon problems, if you think it's a problem with the installation, I need to know if there are addons in your interface\addons directory, are my saved variables copied to your wtf\REALM\LOGINNAME\savedvariables directory? what happens when you type in /sewellui in the game. what resolution are you running.
If you are a tank, you will probably want to disable BANZAILIB in the pitbull, module settings. Otherwise, while you have aggro, the entire screen will be flashing red...
Best of luck with everything outside of wow then sewell!
You will be missed, and there will always be an open spot for you, if you do come back and decide to make yet another genius UI
I guess I'll have to try and maintain my own UI, with updates form the rightfull owners of the addons, I'v used to set my UI to look as you original intented.
Hey Port,
Sorry and yes there is a reason I haven't been here in a while - I quit WoW about a month ago. It had just become more of a chore than a hobby so it was time for a change.
I do appreciate everyone's kind words and support as I made several versions of the UI.

With the last patch, Vista 'suggested' a new location for WoW installation.
"C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns"
The Sewell UI installer seems to work only with the standard
C/program files/world of warcraft/ .... setup.
How can the UI be installed in the new directory?
There really is no fix for this. sadly what you have to do is simply allow it to install to where it is used to and then cut and paste in the right spot.
cut and paste? an odd concept, i understand, but, sometimes necessary.
>also<
double check your version of windows (be it 32bit or 64bit) if 64, sewellui doesn't like it too much, so, you have to remember to run it in 32bit mode.
"how do i do that?"
it is very simple.
select the .exe file and right-click.
go to properties.
across the top are various tabs.
select the tab for compatability.
check the box for compatability.
Windows XP service pack two is already selected.
click apply, then ok. (i know ok applies it, i just like to make sure)
once you have done this, it should run the program in the selected compatability mode, thus allowing you to install Sewell UI with out any hassles. (normally)
To help Seweull Out, and because i know updating this with the various mods and such, i will suggest a couple of things.
1. Go to curse.com and download the curse client. It'll keep your addons up to date for you. (Be forewarned, if a mod has like 6 different names, it will only update with the name you have listed, which may be like ver.3 and theyre on ver.10 or something the like. so pay attention to your mods overall)
2. wowinterface has a similar client, but i find it clunky and difficult to make update. plus, last i checked, it was still set to the old directory for scanning instaed of the one vista has moved WoW into.
3. To help my man sewell out, i'm going to do a slight re-vamp of his mod (of which he will recieve full creative and inspirational credit) to give you guys new to sewell ui less of a headache.
Well, thanks for reading. Sewell, i hope you are alive somewhere man.
with WotLK coming thursday, are you laboring towards a new installer and info/update for it's release?
also, how are you doing yourself man? good i hope. kinda hope you're not stuck in a room with little food and forced to code the next sewellui till your eyes bleed.
switched from fire to arcane. am LOVING it.
well, best of luck to you man. hope all is going well.
Btw Does any1 know what addon is used at the right-bottom of the ui?
I marked it on my SS, its left from the Minimap.
Sewell said before that was an intentional blank area for anyone to place other addons or whatever. He was using some Shaman specific mods to put there in an early screenshot of his own setup.
Originally Sewell used Violation damage meters and it was placed in that location. Now its.... not. If you have the right resolution Recount can fit there perfectly.
That's how my ui looks atm... I did get ideas from both Sewell, and from SpartanUI
but mostly the one I put up for now is "based" on Sewells layout...
addons used; Bartender4, Prat 3.0, FuBar3(with mods like exp, durabil, money)
BasicMinimap, ElkBuffBars, Parrot, ClearFont2, eePanels2 (out of date, but functional), Baggins, x-Perl (instead of Pitbull, more EZ to setup tbh) and the MusicPlayer is well, for listenin to my mp3z whilst playin instead of ingame tunes ... Oh, and note that I don't use the combat log, it's snafu anyways...
I think that's about it... Oh, and this setup is only on my rogue on Shadowsong EU
Looking forward to a functional release of SewellUi... or SpartanUi =) That one is also pretty clean and nice =)
