Quartz is a modular approach to a casting bar addon. An overview of (hopefully most of) the modules:
*Player
The core of Quartz is lightweight implementation of a standard casting bar, with configurable size, text and icon positioning, and colors. *Target/Focus
Implementation of target and focus casting bars in similar fashion to the player cast bar. *Buffs
Display of target and focus buffs and debuffs as duration bars using the new API introduced in patch 2.1. *Flight
Hooks into FlightMap or InFlight to display the current flight progress on your casting bar. *Global Cooldown
Displays a tiny spark-bar to show your Global Cooldown near the cast bar. Helpful for those who'd rather not squint at their action bars to see when they can cast again. *Interrupt
Changes the color and text of your casting bar to help show that your cast has been interrupted (and show who interrupted it). *Latency
Displays the amount of time spent between cast send and start events, in the form of a bar at the end of your casting bar, with optional text that displays the actual duration of the lag. This helps in canceling casts when they will not actually be interrupted, especially for users with consistently high pings. *Mirror
Shows the 'basic' timers such as breath and feign death, as well as some 'odd' ones such as party invite time, resurrect timeout, and arena game start, and a framework for injecting custom timers into the bars. *Range
Recolors the casting bar when your cast target moves out of range mid-cast. *Swing
Displays a swing timer for your melee weapon as well as hunter autoshot. *Timer
Allows for creating custom timers displayed on the mirror bars. *Tradeskill Merge
Merges multiple casts of the same tradeskill item into one big cast bar.
I've been having some trouble using quartz. Primarily, I wanted to use the swing timer feature only.
I installed the addon, and disabled everything except the swing timer. For the first couple fights, the swing timer functions correctly. However for some reason after I relog, the swing timer disappears. I tried clearing any folders named "quartz" in my wow directory and re-installing, however the problem still happens.
I am using quartz, and the latency bar shows up on the left of the bar, while the bar itself grows from left to right. How to move the latency part to the right side of the cast bar? I can't figure out how to.
Hello, I am trying a fresh install of the latest Quartz. The only other mod I have at this point is Spartan UI. (I also tried this with the default blizzard UI and had the same problem). The issue is, I see the Quartz cast bar and the swing bar, but thats it. I dont get any of the nice looking timers or anything.
Since 3.3.2, the feature to put a border on uninterruptable casts is working on some of characters and not on others, no idea why. They are all using the same Quartz profile and addons. I hate that I can't really provide any more info but everything else is consistent (other addons enabled) between the characters as well. It is working on my mage and hunter but not working on my warlock, priest, druid and shaman.
I have found that quartz generates an error when you are hit by Ignis' Flame Something (the thing that sends everybody flying) while casting something.
Originally posted by ricks322 If you uncheck the "lock" box some of the bars will show up, you can then move them, you need to do this in each section.
I tried that - but it doesn't show all of them even if you uncheck them all - Like for example - the main one I am trying to get is the swing bar but that won't show so I can't move it....Manual for the dumb plox :P
Is there a way to disable the small spell timer bars above the main cast bar, as i have been trying to work it out for ages now and still aint found the right option lol. I have disabled the buff ones but not spell currently.
Originally posted by gabbu I am using quartz for my cast bars and what I want to do is to have the cast bars be same color as class color?
Is there s way to do that in quartz? Even if it involves some lua I am fine with it.
YOu'd have to just go in each toon's profile and manually change the colors yourself. But I would love !ClassColor support in Quartz.
While on the subject of feature requests, I would really like an "outline" option for all the texts on the casting bars, as its really hard to see the text sometimes, and that would make it go perfectly with my UI.
