INSTALLATION NOTES

* To install, extract the .ZIP file to your WoW Addons folder

* Fixed an issue where XCompanionBar would show buttons after they were hidden upon login.
* All companion type buttons, whether in XCompanionBar or a custom bar, will now dismiss any active companions if you click on it.

Lol! And just as I got into learning how to create a Custom Bar (which, BTW, I love now). I did confirm that the last version was NOT saving configurations of what existing pet/mount combinations I wanted shown. However, I have created a custom bar for my alts that shows whatever pets and mounts they have of the ones I want shown. I'll check out this new version and get back with you about how well it's working.

EDIT: Yes, now the settings are being saved. CompanionBar is working the way it used to work. I'll probably find something to do with the CustomBar, but it's good to have the old model back. Great job. Keep it up!

Lemme test it out some more. I've been bounceing back and forth between the PTR and the live servers so much I can't be certain exactly what I'm seeing. I may just have not set up the bar after I upgraded. I'll go back to the main that was causing the problem and let you know what my results are.

Other than this little issue, I love XBar. I've been using it a LONG time.

And now CompanionBar is completely useless. It doesn't seem to be saving, even on a per character basis, any of the companion settings. All it saves are the bar length settings. So hiding the unwanted companions again is a daily thing and even more of a hassle than making the previous version bar visible again. I'll look into creating a custom bar, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm just going to have to play with my mounts/pets the odd fashioned way. If the CompanionBar saved the configurations in some manner like it used to, that would be something.

Not sure if it's related to that, but it seems that my Hunters start with CompanionBar set to invisible. I have ot go in every time I play and change it back to visible and then select and de-select (or vice versa) a pet/mount to get it to show up again. Only my Hunters are having this problem. Or course, since my Hunter is my pet/mount whore, I'm not sure if it's a high volume issue. I only keep the mounts lit that I actually use so it's mostly for my pets. I discovered yesterday (sadly) that the problem follows me to the PTR. Only my Premade Hunter has the issue, and he only has the default mounts (plus my five pets from being a Collector's Edition whore, too).

As for the Custom bar, sometimes they don't show up right away, sometimes you have to open your spellbook or move something in your bag to get it to display. Also, make sure you have the names typed exactly (case sensitive).

Rthr-X A Kobold Labourer Forum posts: 0 File comments: 1 Uploads: 0	Possible error in XCompanionBar I've found a problem that appears to be within XCompanionBar, or just the XBar system in general. Mind you, I haven't done very extensive testing enabling/disabling my other addons, so the problem could be due to addon conflict, too ... What I found is that when my XCompanionBar went over 150 entries (so far 78 pets and 75 mounts) I started to experience bouts of awful lag. The lag seemed to only occur when I entered or left a vehicle, or when I used vehicle abilities - for about 5-10 secs, I would be down to about 5fps. I always kept the XCB bar closed (150 pets IS rather screen-filling) but I noticed that the same lag happened when I opened it up. Disabling just that one particular addon removed the vehicle lag entirely. So it appears that when there's over 150 objects on one of the XBars (or just the Companion bar), the client starts having trouble. This also only started after the recent patch (3.2.2a). Otherwise, keep up the great work. A little more intuitiveness on the XCustomBar would be nice, but I really can't complain.
