As TradeSkillInfo isn't localized yet (except for zhCN/TW) I recommend to still use this mod besides TSI as a user of one of the non-English EU locales, as TSI cannot create valid recipe links for you, and cannot let you search for the localized recipe names.

I used to love this mod (recommended it to friends, etc.). But ProfessionLinks has had a major issue through the last few versions and its become somewhat more pronounced with v2.3.
When you enter a phrase in the search box like "Enchant Weapon", the listings that appear often do not cover all recipes that contain that phrase. The scroll arrow on the right side of the box can be moved, but the recipes do not scroll. Change the search to something more specific, like "Mongoose" (as in "Enchant Weapon - Mongoose") and the recipe shows up fine. But that same recipe may not appear when you enter "Enchant Weapon" in the search box. Same issue doing searches for "Elixir of" and so on. You often need to enter the exact end part of the name to have the link show up. The odd thing is that when you limit searches by choosing a profession in the drop-down box (i.e. selecting Enchanting), more recipes may show up when entering "Enchant Weapon" for the search than the previous less limited search. But it may still be missing a few. This problem seriously limits the convenience of this mod. Hopefully searches can be handled better in the future. For right now, have switched over to the updated TradeskillInfo, which doesn't have this search problem. |

But I've downloaded the language packs now, so I should be able to supply translations for the next update, but I'll probably wait until 2.3 is released, since it has a lot of new recipes. |

), except Crystal Throat Lozenge and Goldthorn Tea, which only resulted in plain text when linked. Removed those from the db and voila, the translation went through. Added translations for those two manually, I can send you the resulting lua file if you want it for future use.
I noticed, though, that you're translating the profession names, too, so other locales would have to run a translation before using those links, which again is quite difficult without PL (to link them and make them 'safe')You could only translate cached recipes, and have every request also check whether you already have a translation for this one, and add it if necessary. |

As for the translations, just translating the actual profession name, for instance "First Aid" to "Erste Hilfe" (my German might be a bit rusty) and such should do the trick. Easiest way for you, until I release a new version with all the translations, would probably be to edit the Data\localization.en.lua file. At the bottom, you'll see the names of the individual professions, where you can alter the strings. And then delete the saved variables file ( WTF\Accounts\[AccountName]\SavedVariables\ProfessionLinks.lua ) |

Maybe that change didn't make it to the EU realms yet
However, using /pl translate disconnects me on both Live and PTR after a few seconds. Also, I had to manually change the profession names again to get working links, so unless you're localizing that, too (or the developers bother to fix this issue) I suggest to have default translations at least for those ![]() |
