Please make sure that you read all of the release notes before installing this addon. It may also help to delete your existing SpartanUI directory before installing this one. There were many changes that went into the making of 2.5.2 and it would make our jobs easier if people were well informed before posting bugs.
At some point, you may have realized that within the myriad of mod, bag, button and raid windows... your viewing space is a little hole somewhere in the middle. And while there are other interface mods out there that will reduce your interface to nothing but a pinhole, you can’t help but wish there was an interface that just fit WoW in the first place. One that looked like it was made for the game from the get-go. Here is your answer.
Built from scratch, SpartanUI is built to free your screen; it is the new look for the World of Warcraft. Created by Ansu of Dalaran (a.k.a. Atriace), it is an original design, developed with painstaking effort.
Features:
A stand-alone mod (all original code)
Almost Zero-setup
Support for any screen-resolution
SpinCam™
Low CPU & RAM usage
High-res textures (1:1 ratio support for 30" displays)
Animated bars
Built-in XP & Rep statistics
Integrated Coordinates
Unit AFK status
Unit casting bars
Raid Icon support
Pet & Focus support
Built-in Buff system
Recent Changes (2.5.2):
SpartanUI is now being developed by both Ansu and Beladona
Bartender support has been rewritten so that it works better with profile creation and management. It will also automatically disable itself if you are not using Bratender4. This allows you to use any action bar replacement you choose without any errors or problems in SpartanUI. You can also now update Bartender4 with little to no fear of conflicts.
The bars enabled by default in Bartender4 are now 1-6. Previously we were skipping bar2. For this reason you may need to move some of your abilities around the first time that you update. It may also be important to do a /sui resetbars after updating.
Bartender backdrops are no longer anchored to the bars. They are instead anchored to the main spartan frame, making it easier to place action bars of your choosing. If you wish to hide these backdrops you may now do so with /sui backdrops
The minimap module has been completely rewritten, and should work a lot better. It now supports zooming with the mouse wheel. Achievement tracking has been moved so that it no longer appears off-screen. The scale and position of the minimap should now update if SpartanUI is scaled or moved.
Slash commands will now default to the help menu if no command is passed. It will also do this if a bad command was passed. This should help you identify what commands can be used more easily, especially for first time users.
Status bar code has been moved into a module, and rewritten for better performance. The tooltips have been updated and are now fully localized using whatever localization your wow client is using.
Known Issues (2.5.2):
Most of the changes provided by end-users in the forums have been rolled into this version, making those "fixes" no longer necessary. This includes the fixes to the runic bar, and the weapon buffs. The unitframe code is scheduled for some retooling in 2.5.3 though, so for now we may still have issues.
Automatic faction switching is something that was not added back in with the rewrite to the status bars. We do plan to include this in 2.5.3 along with some other nifty features for the status bars. Stay tuned.
While it is possible to disable bar backdrops with a slash command (/sui backdrops) there is not yet an easy slash command for disabling specific backdrops. This is a feature we do plan to add in 2.5.3

Fixed a precedence issue with the event handler in which two RAID_ROSTER_UPDATE blocks were present, causing only one to ever run
I noticed that my mini map is still in the original place and I can't figure out how to move it. Also, when I click on, say a Paladin, then click on a Hunter - it then says that the Hunter is a Paladin. When I click off the Hunter to, say a Shaman, it now says the Shaman is a Hunter.
Chinchilla to move the map.
I have got to say this is the most AMAZING INTERFACE of all time. This is what Blizzard should have done when they built the game. Many thanks for the work that went into this. Your efforts are appreciated!
Hi guys, just want to let you know that the forums for Spartan UI are the best place to find information on known issues, fixes for common issues, and get the help you need. It's hard for the devs to track bugs and issues on the comments of these download sites, but if you post in those forums, experienced users and devs will be able to help you much faster. There is also a comprehensive FAQ for 2.5.2 located here, which will help with a lot of your issues.
As for the map issue, there is a solution if you're comfortable with editing code here, and if not, you're welcome to download a minimap addon like Simple Minimap or Sexy Map to fix this. Version 2.6 is in active development, and is on RC3, which means that a release is forthcoming quite soon. There are very few problems with the RC so if you would like to try it out, please do so here.

What is the present ETA on an update?
Having to use additional addons to correct map, I downloaded the latest Mapfix today, so we'll see, but still.. I just feel better if theres a single comprehensive update, rather than having to patch it together.
I greatly appreciate the effort you folks make though, so thanks!
Same issue, don't know. They didn't do anything to the mod yet since the patch. And the comment before yours is from February! WTH!?
official site would be www.spartanui.com, but even there it seems awfully un-used.. :S
Originally posted by Great White Cow So first off, this is great. I just don't understand how you could make such a tiny package and then drop something like bartender on it, i think that one alone is more memory then the entire rest of the ui. would it be impossible to incorporate one of the tiny bar mods like roth's or Hbar or barkeep? I realize we can do that now but i like how bartender figures out the layout itself when you load this, i dont wanna sit around moving bars in place all day. Is there any easier way to do this? I just don't like having big things like bartender use up my memory when i know there are things like roth's and Hbar that take up like 1/1000 of the memory.

Originally posted by Duchess I have a 1440x900 widescreen. Is there a version of you UI that will work on my screen? I tried to fix it myself but have no clue what I am doing.
And no matter how hard I try, I cannot get the chat window down in the corner like you have it. It is stuck up above the bars.
Thanks!
I run at the same resolution and was able to get that to work just by moving down the UI scale.
