Improved the code of almost every module
Added new module: ArrowMode
Added new border style: Darkness

Custom channels (general, trade,...) can now be set to sticky
Version 7
Added editbox styles: blizzard, smooth (classic LM Chat) and borderless for now
Significantly improved the code. Didn't tested it yet, but should use a lot less CPU and also a bit less memory
Placing the editbox at top of the chart is now an optional module
Version 6.1
Update the TOC file, so that WoW and WoWInterface know that it is still working. Nothing changed really.
Originally posted by Politig I still would like a feature that makes the edit box the width of the chat frame
Patience pls... It won't take long

Originally posted by Sekke Don't know how difficult this would be, but the ability to highlight the player name in the chat frame (by color or adding brackets) would make this the perfect chat mod.

Originally posted by knalty I think it was disabled from the addon itself, because the functionality is built into Blizzard's default UI on a per-channel basis. Right click the chat tab -> Settings -> Check the box labeled "Show Class Color" on the channels that you care about.
Yes, class coloring was already included by Blizzard in the default interface.

Originally posted by Orion Assante First off, love the addon and appreciate your work to keep it up to date. One feature request would be the ability to assign a separate color to the timestamp. I tried another chat mod (BasicChatMods I believe) that had this functionality and I found it really made it easier to pick-out the time from a given line in the chat window. It wasn't anything more sophisticated than going into the lua and changing the 6-digit web color code to whatever color you wanted. I compared the timestamp lua code from your mod to that one to see if I might be able to easily shoehorn it in, but their implementation was different enough from yours that I didn't see any easy way.
In any event it's not a deal breaker, just something I'd like to see if possible. Again, thanks for the mod.
I may include a module called "Colorless Timestamps"
Originally posted by Squiddy0 Just had a quick question with the most recent version of this, I am unable to use the arrow keys to move through the text, left or right... where as it worked before.
Example:
Chat enter box is open I type information I use the arrow keys to go left or right on the text I entered.
This doesn't work with this version.
Enable the "Arrow Mode" module

Originally posted by zohar101 Keeping the button on the bottom right that allows you to scroll to the current chat is nice but I've noticed it starts flashing as soon as I scroll up. Normally it is supposed to be there but flash only if you have new text incoming.
This is important to me cause I have a separate window dedicated to whispers and guild chat. I like to scroll through whisper history but I scroll back down immediately if I see it flashing since it means someone whispered me again in the meantime.
LM Chat only changes the position of the button, it does not interfere with the button's flashing.
Originally posted by Redeemer32 Logged on today and class colors dont work. tried replacing class colors with others. but had to switch to zchat.
Has this been disabled or am I missing something. love the addon.

Originally posted by ReverendD Ya.... about this. Just d/l and setup. Clean AddOn & WTF folder, no other chat mods. The whole shorten channel thing does not seem to be working.
Would actually prefer a separate module to define specific channels that we may/may not want shortened, specially for those of us who use 1 or more custom channels.
This addon does not shorten "general" channels, only the standard ones, like "Say", "Party", "Yell", "Raid",... etc

Thank you
I may add that feature in the future, but that's not one of my priorities.
Originally posted by Backwoods I'm looking though the Lua and I can't seen to find where I can edit the font. Little help please. Thank.

Originally posted by cryptor_00 I too am curious how to change the font for this addon. There is no obvious area in the .lua to do so.
Wonderful addon overall, though
This add-on does not change any text fonts. There are several stand alone add-ons which do just that. You can also create a "Fonts" folder in your World of Warcraft directory and place there your own fonts.
If you need more help, go to the WoWInterface forums.
