ForteXorcist is a powerful AddOn for Raiders. Mainly targeted at Warlocks.

  • Cooldown 'scale time tags' will be drawn above bars, and below icons again, instead of behind the bars.
  • Fixed problem with a few settings not applying properly when switching profiles.
  • 'Smoothed out' Spell Timer behaviour. E.g. No more weird up-down time/highlight switching on casts. Only new or newly cast spells get highlighted, the rest will regain in time smoothly to attract less attention. Stacks of self-casted spells should also no longer switch. 'Fall-off effect' is now smoother for groups with unit name labels. And you can of course still target away while casting and the timers will still show up properly! The current version will be a bit more sensitive to wrong spell data (mostly durations) in the class modules, so please report any weird behaviour.

  • Knock-back of drain spells fixed.
  • Some fixes involving Talent Switching.
  • Fixed bug that could prevent the addon from loading properly.

  • A number of spells have been added and fixed.
  • A number of other small fixes all around.
  • Revised some of the customization code so the timer changes will always update instantly.

  • The customize filters have an extra value where you can select the type of spell that needs to be affected by the filter. This should make the customizations much more powerful.
  • In addition, the customize options can now give an overview of all the changes you made!
  • The '/fx position' command is replaced by '/fx reset' and will now reset all option-frame related settings like position, scale, columns and lock. (the old command still works btw, but does the same as the new command now)
  • Heal Over Time spells have their ticks displayed (default is 3 seconds, so this may not be correct for all spells yet)
  • If you attempt to cast a spell that's on cooldown, the Cooldown Timer will try to get your attention and show you where the spell is on the timer.
  • Rogue module updated to work more as intended. I'll need your input to check if it's all working correctly though.
  • Many small changes to all other class modules.
  • Display of internal trinket cooldowns no longer require the spell timer to be active.
  • Fixed some problems with icon grouping in the cooldown timer.
  • As always your settings should be converted to their new formats without you even noticing it!

v1.13
  • Fixes in and additions to the paladin module
  • Small fix that will prevent dot listening before your combat log has actually started to work. It will also disable dot listening, since I'm not sure if the first fix is enough. You can re-enable it in the options.

v1.12
  • You should no longer get an error the first time you update (this was a v1.11 problem only) :P
  • Secondary Splash Icon will now properly use the alpha setting in the header, and the old setting is removed.
  • Some Hunter module changes
  • Some other Quick fixes!

v1.11
  • All Self Buffs (yes buffs only, no debuffs or items) that are set to 'show' or 'color' in the custom filter will show up as a Cooldown Icon or Spell Tmer with the type 'buff'. Before only buffs pre-set in the module code could be added.
  • Fixed Stealth/Prowl Cooldown to only show when you leave stealth.
  • Fixed the artificial cooldowns of multiple paladin spells that cannot be used within a certain time of each other.
  • Preset colours for the module options. This should help not to edit the wrong module by accident. You can disable this again from the options appearance settings. I may still change the colours a bit.
  • A transparency setting is added to all module frames.
  • Attempting to drag a locked frame will no longer cause you to 'click' it.
  • The Secondary Splash icon now has its 'own' options for clarity. Note that it still uses the type/filter settings of the Cooldown Timer.
  • You can use a custom tag on the spell timer bars. This is still very basic/limited atm, but good enough for now.
  • Many small class module fixes/changes

v1.10
  • The timer bars can be set to indicate the time it will take to cast this spell or how long global cooldown would take up after the cast. This makes it much easier to time spell casts. Global cooldown is only shown when 'Adapt to one maximum' is enabled AND the Cooldown module is active. This feature may change entirely!
  • You can now add glow around the Splash Icons, so you can see the type (e.g. cooldown or buff)
  • Friendly Paladin buffs should no longer fall off (and get back on) the Spell Timer.
  • Spell Timer will now show full Name-Server tags in a bg, and names with a ' - ' in them will no longer cause problems.
  • Added some more buffs/debuffs and other stuff for multiple classes.
  • Some small changes in the options interface.

hello,

new user here. i am speechless to try and say thank you in a deserving way about your mod. the professionalism is a step or two above many mods out there and leaves me wondering why it took me so long to be exposed to it.

going on my second week and still finding small things i can tweak to make this mod do exactly what i am looking for any mod to do but many do not.

i know money is better then two simple words but i am broke so i can't speak my support where it counts the most and for that i do apologize.

separating buff and debuffs into 2 separate timers

Hey, and thank you for a wonderful mod. Been using it off and on for a long time. I recently came back to this mod from using rogue powerbars, and was wondering if you might inform me how I might separate my personal buffs and those I choose to have displayed such as trinket buffs I place on myself from the debuffs I place on my target into two seperate bar sets such as what rogue power bars does. The reason being is I have my target and player frame in a central location approximately eye level and I'd like to have my buffs such as sprint and evasion over my frame and gouge,KS,and rupture and the like above my targets frame. What this mod does that RPB doesn't is continue to display a debuff that you have placed on your target even when you do not have that target selected

Care to point me in the right direction?

Using fw cooldowns as dk

Hey,
I've got a problem using the cooldowns mod o my dk. Basically every ability that's not useful cause runes are all cooldown gets shown, as you can imagine this gets very spammy. Any way you can dead with that like not showing things that has a 10 sec cooldown or less (unless i add an exception) .

I have a quick question ....

something changed recently, and the sound that plays when a cooldown expires is now a click, like the sound of wood tapping wood, where-as it used to be a nice clinky sorta sound ....

how do i change these sounds ?

I found an option within FX that has a selection of sounds, but no matter what i chose, i get the same wood-on-wood sound :/

Is there any way i can get rid of this option other then the obvious --> Going to Color + Filtering and --> Customize and adding every buff from all 10 of my alts i don't want to show in there. which would be .. quite a lot.... i don't know if there is a way to avoid doing that. Question: Is there any way to make all raid buffs and weapon enchants on all classes not show up on CD timer without using the customize and adding everything manually?

If you want to hide the warlock-specific parts of the package, you can just uncheck these modules in the addon list (where you select your character). At 'Configure addons for' you have to select the right character names instead of 'All'.

To hide enchants and buffs, you can simply uncheck their main types under 'Coloring/Filtering' (so 'Buffs' and 'Weapon Enchants', both type colors are white by default). There's no need to disable them one by one!

I just downloaded this addon, im not to computer savvy, So id like to ask a few questions and hopefully you can get back to me on this asap. Thanks

Been using this mod for over a year on warlock and carried it with me to moonkin. However, as of today, eclipse on the cooldown just show's up as a generic Lunar Eclipse cooldown. Even when I get a Solar, it just resets the cooldown and shows it as Lunar.

What can I do so it tracks each eclipse cooldown separately

Hey, i'm having the same problem as bentalbot has. I can't find out the framename or a method to hide and show the spelltimer with kgpanels.

@Bentalbot: Go to "Addons -> Forte_Cooldown" -> "Forte_Cooldown.lua". In Line 1133 the Frame is created.
"local frame = CreateFrame("Frame","Forte_CooldownFrame",UIParent);"
If there is
"local frame = CreateFrame("Frame",nil,UIParent);"
replace it with
"local frame = CreateFrame("Frame","Forte_CooldownFrame",UIParent);"
and your FrameName is "Forte_CooldownFrame".

Okay, solved my and Bentalbot's Problem with a bit "thinking"

Hey,

Ever since enabling this mod for my warlock, my first login attempt on my warlock toons causes the game to crash. Additionally, anytime I zone and hit a loading screen, the game hangs if it doesn't DC me immediately.

It only happens on my warlock, no other toon, and I've tried disabling this mod to make it work.

Any chance you can look into that> Are there known incompatibilities with other mods?

I'm trying to find how to parent a kgpanel to the cooldown timer. I can't seem to grab the frame name through the '/print GetMouseFocus():GetName()" macro because it just keeps showing up as "nil".

hey there--I am using Lui's ui and having an issue w/ this mod. Is it possible to divide the spell timers from fortexorcist into 2 areas instead of having buffs/dottimers/etc. mixed into 1 area? I know how to show/hide/color them and such.

Ideally id like to have the player buffs/gains above the player frame color organized--and the dot's above the target frame for ease of reapplication for me (warlock)

I cant seem to figure out how to make a 2nd spell timer area or simply drag the unwanted ones from the 1st. Thanks
